i like how he is like wiping his face relaxed, and then KABOOM roundhouse kick to the face. Damn this guy is freaken gooooood. I am only a 8 kyu in my kyokushin karate class,.... so hard to get better and promote for sure, it took me atleast a year of practice to get to 8 kyu

ppl try to understand who Matsui is in kyokushin world, that should lead you to some sort of a conclusion about the amount of politics involved in this exam.

Also for those who said that Matsui, only one of the greatest kyokushin fighters of all times, would be in trouble if he ever fought them - you pretty much proclaim yourselves to be his equals if not superiors in art of fighting; plz provide video evidence, or don't speak such disrespectful BS

this guy is given pretty poor opponents all the time.

if he picked me or anyone of my mates he'd be in trouble and we arn't even japanesse

if these guys he is fighting are trying then they ought to have their belts taken away as they ar enot worthy of them

i don't understand the Japanesse mentality here as they are usually very very honourable and hard working

Also, Matsui starts of very lazily. Sensei Enoeda (RIP) for example is in another class entirely

i kinda agree even though most ppl would giv u a thumbs down. his opponents arent the most skilled, in fact i think my kyokushin sensei can survive in this kumite. i respect matsui but it seems like he has the advantage in size and maybe age which is kinda unfair here

a theory might be that those guys have seen matsui spar before and "respect" his fists and legs, intimidation is also a part of fighting. Not all of them were soft, 2 of them in the video pushed matsui back with punches. Though the intensity is way off compared to tournaments.

oh ! this looks much more like what I thought kumite is then at the 50 man kumite ! stztill I wonder if they hold back because they respect him ? I would respect those feet XD thanks for sharin, its very pushing me to work hard.

Great techniques he is incredible (was). Is very sad that he runs Kyokushin, his organisation IKO from a business perspective only. Sosai Mas Oyama thought us many time to not be mislead by the power of money. Is one of his 11 mottos
