There are so many lies told about Tesla. Why? If Tesla's inventions catch on, the oil industry would be out of business.

There was a movie made about him a while ago, with Orson Welles as J.P. Morgan. It's called 'The Story of Nikola Tesla'. It was only okay at its best though--not a relatively high-budget film and it rushed through a lot of things. I seriously wish someone would make a movie about him like how they did 'A Beautiful Mind' (gosh, the soundtrack of that movie reminds me of Tesla so much!). I have my own ideas, but me, be in charge of a major film product right now? Not a chance...

@Zutii69 Ben Franklin discovered electricity. Even though Edison was a major jerk and patent thief he was also a brilliant inventor that gave us the motion picture camera, he was both.

That being said if it weren't for the economic freedoms of the US at the time we would also not have any of these devices. This is why Tesla did not just remain in Serbia and try to patent/fund all of his inventions, not enough opportunity. Thats what made US so successful.
