Intimacy wasn't as good as A Weekend In the City, which in my opinion is their best album, but Intimacy wasn't all that bad, it has given us a gem in the form of Ion Square

@XXweedboyXX as an 'old fan' of bloc party i wouldnt agree at all, intimacy was brilliant, and as bloc have always been about progression i think most fans would agree. Havent heard many 'old' radiohead fans call in rainbows horrible which is a similar sort of thing.... personally a weekend in the city is my least favourite albums with silent alarm as my favourite

@XXweedboyXX Maybe "real" fans would understand how a band would crave experimenting and evolution in their sound. And if you gave the album a good listen I'm sure you would find a lot to love. There are some great tracks on Intimacy.

IDK, kelly's lyrics are pretty good. plus He's singing and playing for the whole time too not just doing backing vox. The band as a whole is talented in my opinion.
