@DomJMcGovern you really have no idea of guitar playing do you? as far as i know, slash is a very fast guitar player, and his songs evolve speed and technique. You dont to be taught emotion and awesomeness, these things dont come along like that and they re not what you need to be a good guitar player. Slash spent hours and hours playing scales and exercises to be what he is.

@TheIzzyGuy Of course you need emotion to be a good guitar player... you sound like an obsessive mechanical player... too bad. both techique and emotion are needed, but emotion is by far more important.

@TheIzzyGuy It doesn´t teach you, but it sure makes you be good at it. Why in hell would somebody would want to be an artist of any kind if emotion wasnt the primal drive? Technique is ok, and regardless of your -apparently educated opinion (cause there are really no correct answer to this philosophicall matter)-, music is about expression and feeling. The theory helps, the technique helps, but they are not the essence of music. Just think about it. You don´t have to agree of course...

I agree that speed isn't always important. But they're not really metal head dicks. It all depends really. There's shredders that just play licks and go through Major and minor scales and sweeps etc. at super speed or you have have the more technical shredders with a bit more thought and technique. Well that's my opinion anyway! XD

Slash's knowledge is implicit. Just because he doesn't know the names of half the scales he's using doesn't mean they're any less valid in his playing. If anything that makes him more talented in my opinion.

slash does the lick in fast mode with hammering and pull offs didnt he? in slow mode he did pick each note. can anybody poste the additional notes please?

its easy guys i discovered with any tabs then i practiced it for about 45 minutes and i can play very well (i saw the lick today an d practiced)
