Just to make sure that you heard, Simcoe County Council did vote for a one year moratrorium, but there is another danger now that perhaps Simcoe County will sell the site to private concerns who could then dump garbage there, Tiny Township voted in the last meeting to put the site back to be zoned just agricultural land, that would stop more speculation, so tell you local councils...many blessings from Marianne

The website for The Council of Canadians is great - really - BUT - boy what a mess we are in. This dump site 41 is almost as bad as Nicanor Perlas, who is running for President in the Phillipines in 2010, who got very active many many years ago tp prevent politicians to build an atomic reactor on top of an extinct volcano. He prevented that to happen so maybe that can happen here in Ontario too...
