  • Not the best cover, but not terrible either.

  • Jack Irons :)

  • This shows that this song can be slow... deep... emotional......... or up beat and fucken rocking !

  • did anyone else look at the bass player even though they'd never heard of Loverboy? :L

  • The Bass player looks like the bassist Jeff Ament from Pearl Jam!

  • Dude, Eddie Vedder is like teh coolest guy! I listen to all the music he listens to!

  • These were the days when I was too young to see these guys, that and the ticketmaster fight I wasn't allowed to travel out of my city. ;p so I had to love them from a far.

  • This is just the band having fun, i'm sure lots of bands do covers during soundchecks. Comparing pearl jam to poison is comparing apples and oranges. If you don't like a band then yo don't have to watch them.

  • Can't we just enjoy the music??

  • OMG es geeeeeeeeeeeenial :BBBB ♥

  • He is just so sexy...Period. Damn. I would make him so happy because I respect him and admire him and he is perfect in my eyes..... WOW! His wife is so fortunate....

  • This cover is awful, shows how utterly lacking in talent the 90s Grunge acts really were. I'll take Poison over Pearl Jam any day.

  • @brianbuck70 Yeah let's hear C.C. Deville write a riff like Even Flow or Alive. Or you for that matter, when's the last time you wrote an incredibly original riff like in Deep? So they played a cover that wasn't all that great, big deal, everybody does that. That statement of yours appears to have come straight from your ass. Do everybody a favor and never voice an opinion on music again.

  • @UncleSlam81 I agree with him, I think he should take Poison too.

  • @UncleSlam81 Get bent, jackass. Pearl Jam is a pretentious act, with Vedder trying so hard to be taken seriously as an artist in a desperate effort to mask his lack of talent. Even Flow? Alive? Vedder couldn't carry a tune in a dump truck. Both songs suck. They're dreary and depressing. Grunge blows and Seattle was the worst thing to ever happen to hard rock. Poison never tried to be anything more than a good time rock 'n' roll band. God bless them for it.

  • @brianbuck70 Dreary and depressing? I don't think we're listening to the same band. Besides, there ain't nothin wrong with a song or two about disorder. That's life, and I don't know if you've looked around you lately, but life ain't no party. I'll take a band who writes about real shit over any of those make-up wearing wussy look how many millions of dollars I can blow on drugs and chicks then re-unite 20 years later because I'm an old broke loser bands.

  • @UncleSlam81 Your perogative, dude. I like music that's fun. Pearl Jam isn't fun. Vedder is a posuer standing on the shoulders of geniuses like Pete Townsend, who has more talent in a drop of his piss than Vedder will ever possess.

Brett Micheals, CC and the rest of Poison never tried to be anything more than what they are: a hard rock party band. Pearl Jam tries too hard to be taken seriously as artistes, and by so doing, miss the point of rock 'n' roll.

  • @brianbuck70 Alright whatever you say, nobody's opinion ever changed through an arguement. Just don't lump Pete Townsend in with this "fun" music you speak of. He wrote about serious shit. He knew music was too important to be writing ballads about strippers and to hide behind lame attempts at shock value like teased up hair and eyeliner to make up for no talent, like your favorite boy bands of the 80's.

  • @UncleSlam81 The difference is that the hair bands (for the most part) weren't trying to be Pete Townsend. Some of them did go overboard with the egos and compared themselves to much better artists but quickly snapped out of it. And there's nothing wrong with serious music, and The Who did much of it brilliantly. And what's wrong with ballads about strippers? "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" is Poison's one inarguable millisecond of genius.

  • @UncleSlam81 Here's the bottom line: Eddie Vedder is the biggest posuer in the history of rock. He's a hack with nowhere near the talent to match his ego or his ambition. If you can't see that, so be it.

  • @brianbuck70 en español please

  • @controllingidea Too late, pinhead. My son is 5. And he can sing better than Eddie Vedder. What the hell does any of the above discussion have to do with pedophilia? Are we, perhaps, projecting a little? Probably. I'll just bet you like 'em nice and young. Don't ya? Now, if you want to add something constructive, like UncleSam81 did (even though we have differing opinions) go ahead. If not, get lost, the grown-ups are talking.

  • @brianbuck70 I was checkinng through your channel hoping to see a video of your son singing, but all I found was porn and videos of animals being slaughtered. Youre a sick freak, a stupid troll and an even worse father, and everyone here should ignore your comments, because you're a person that is not at all important or useful to the world and your opinion shouldnt matter to anyone.

  • @Ekyvvsaq So, how exactly did you manage to type all that with Eddie Vedder's dick in your mouth?

  • @brianbuck70 Haha Pearl doesnt give a fuck about what people think of them, and yes, they have political opinions that they want to be heard. And you know, poison singing about snorting coke from a strippers leg or being totally super rich is something that most people cant relate to. Pearl Jam is much more down-to-earth. And sure Eddie said some stupid shit drunk on stage when he was younger but thats a long gone day.

  • @Ekyvvsaq Vedder isn't down-to-earth at all. He's a posuer douchebag trying and failing to be the voice of the downtrodden. He's a millionaire rock star, asshole. Do you really think he gives a shit?

  • @brianbuck70 He gives millions to charity. He does give a shit.

  • @brianbuck70 where did you gather up these facts? Did you "wiki" them or something? Not saying you said you were a fan but I'm pretty sure if you were or read any news articles online about Eddie you'd see all of the charity work he and his band do. Ever notice all of those priceless auction items are sometimes some of his personal belongings? Or the fact Cameron Crowe owns a shit load of PJ's things? Yeah, PJ members don't do shit, they don't donate, volunteer, or create their OWN music ever.

  • @brianbuck70 sorry dude, but you're simply a dumbass. You must have been in a real crab ass mood when you watched this or have some weird ass jealousy towards Eddie Vedder. Of course he tours constantly and makes a shit load of dough, but that dough is distributed to charities such as the Bridge School, Chrons & Colitis Foundation of America, Habitat for Humanity, Red Cross, dude just go research and you'll see all of them. It's not a waste of time unless you're the fuckn president or some shit

  • @vanhalendreams Why would I be jealous of a guy who's talent is vastly outdistanced by his ambitions? Why do you think Vedder devotes so much time to covering Townsend songs and The Who? Because Vedder knows that he stands on the shoulders of geniuses who he will never, ever match. And did it ever occur to you that all his charity work is all part of a cleverly crafted image? It fits considering his target audience, doesn't it?

  • @brianbuck70 I would like to know why you would be jealous too, I'm not saying you are and no he actually does have talent. It's hard to have all those albums that they put out and not have any talent. And "because Vedder knows he stands on the shoulders of geniuses who he will never ever match" is not the entire answer for that who question. EV is a HUGE Who fan, of course he's going to cover them because he does think they are geniuses.

  • @brianbuck70 And if you think he's trying to create this fake "image", you must be mistaken. Please tell me how he is being a poser. A poser would just act like they care by maybe doing a couple charities, and doing an appearance once in a blue moon. But EV has been going to these events for years now. He actually helps them out to and helps raise money, and yes his celebrity stature helps, which also shows he's well known correct? If you're getn $ for a good cause someone is showing love.

  • @brianbuck70 hahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahah poison hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @brianbuck70 Wait...You're taking Poison over Pearl Jam? These comments are over, there's no way you can even come close to a band such as Pearl Jam with a band like Poison. Pearl Jam has a lot of Class and much less fuck ups than any member of Poison. I like Poison. But goddamn do I LOVE me some Pearl Jam! State of Love and trust motherfuckers!

  • @vanhalendreams I can name a half-dozen Poison songs I like. I can name one Pearl Jam song I like (Better Man) and about 4 or 5 more that make me rush to change the channel as soon as I hear them on the radio. I don't like Vedder and never will. I dislike his personality, his music, his politics, his arrogance and his attitude.

  • @brianbuck70 I respect your calm cool and collected response, I gotta say. But I just will never understand why it is exactly why you dislike all of those things of his. But fair enough man, can't please everybody right?

  • @vanhalendreams I dislike Vedder because he comes across as someone who hates the country that made him a multi-millionaire. I'll give him his due for the charity work, though-even if I don't think he's entirely sincere. And a part of it is the simple fact that I hated Grunge from the moment I heard it.

  • @brianbuck70 That's not how he comes across to me, but whatever floats your boat. Question though, if you dislike him so much and you knew he'd be in this video, does Pete Townsend trump any hatred towards Eddie that'll you'd give this video a try? I don't get why you watched this then?

  • @vanhalendreams Morbid curiosity, really. Plus I wanted to see if they could pull it off. I was disappointed. I'll give Vedder credit for trying, though. And the PJ cover of Love Reign O'er Me isn't all that bad.

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!....LOVE PEARL JAM!!!...BUT DON'T LIKE THIS REMAKE!!...SOME SONGS SHOULD NOT BE REMADE
