motocross is a dangerous sport but we love to do it becuse its a lifstyle and if anyone says motocross ant dangerous then there stupid i hope ty has a great recorvry
If you understood the mechanics of it, 2 strokes get more power out of less fabrication and weigh a whole lot less. However, they break down easier, are harder to maintain, cause much more pollution, and require the mixing of oil, therefore they foul up much easier. So if you killed it a lot during a race, you would have to return to pit.
4 Strokes have much more technology in them b/c 2 strokes are dying off due to pollution regulations getting stricter. Everyone will be on a 4 stroke oneday
@brewskhee i have a brand new Kawasaki kx 250 4 stroke, and wow it is so enviro friendly, up to Euro III standards, very quiet also, although I like louder bikes, it has a nice growl in the low Rpms :D
@lahnaclannb Yea those 4 strokes grumble and growl, which is pretty cool. The 2-strokes hit high RPMs so quickly that they sound like extra loud, high pitched fart.
Well when i used to race, 4-strokes were a rare breed. Maybe 1 out of 15 were 4-strokes, while the others were all 2-strokes. Only recently have they became more popular than 2 strokes, an in the future, all will be 4-strokes. Its not like everyone has been riding 4-strokes for the past 60 years.
im not being rude, its hard to really know what someone's tone is through text style messaging. yes, 2 strokes were the norm till 2004, then the technology for 4 strokes got much better and now they have the advantage over the 2 strokes.
however, the engine size of a four stroke has to be twice the size of a 2 stoke just to compete. i will always miss the smell of pre-mix and the sound of them at the track.
@brewskhee two strokes arnt harder to maintain... thier a hell of alot easier, less to them which means thier easier to fix u fool, and they dont break down easier it depends on how well u maintain your bike mate, not all two strokes are dying off either. your like 14 or something trying talk about stuff you dont know
@TheBumcum well i'm 14..... but i know your talking wise words. and i know he's just talking absolute bollocks!. yeah 2t's are so simple. but they are also amazing

@str0wns970 one problem. there's no such thing as a 125 big wheel, If you have never rode an actual race bike. then get an 85 B/W

i dont know where you are but everyone already rides 4 strokes. the only 2 stroke you will see at a decent track will be a mini bike.
