  • i had an orgasm from this man good job!! great rotation but like @OlympicChampion1 said there was a tad arch but i give it a 10

  • does anyone know a website where i can buy shirts or trikots for high diving? I mean for men.

I am beginner and want to reduce pain, when landing goes wrong or something :D

  • I think this was too close. Her rip makes up for it but I shouldn't be gasping at flip two.

  • i watched someone high dive from a platform like this at a world championship meet and she hit her head on the platform coming down. The girl knocked herself out! it was horrible. Blood everywhere. She was still unconscious when they took her out of the pool area. I heard later that she was ok eventually.

  • Beautiful dive, thats something I don't say too often.

  • Look at all the people in the BG at 0:02 when she jumps, they are scared shitless! they thought that she was gonna bang her head against the plank

  • GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mexicanjoker9442 u think u can do bettter ???? ur prbbly a raject who wishes they could do this but cant so they simply hate

  • We need a new phrase...

    Like a Laura! :O

  • U of M! I've swum there before ;)

  • i really dont like that move like shes risking her head in danger and if she does people would say WATTA HEAD!!!

  • i thought she was gonna hit her head on the board lol

  • i almost got a heart attack when she splashed the water every body screamed

  • everyone always says something is perfect as an exaggeration.. this was actually perfect, unbelievable

  • haha right when she takes off half the crowd squints!

  • she almost hit her head!

  • She was cowbyed... If you watch it in segments you can see it through the entire dive, never the less she diff deserved all tens! That was AMAZING

  • for a moment i was like *shit* when she went past the platform... that was so close!

she ripped that dive like hell. ive only seen such entry few times in my life. my mate ripped 407b and effect was incredible.

  • I have been a diver for 10 years, and 10 m tower is my speciality. I can only dream of being anywhere close to as good as her. That dive was absolutely perfect.

  • how does she not wear wrist gaurds?

  • beautiful

  • bit too near the board for tens, even the crowd where hittin it.

  • I'm not sure but I think David boudia did a 207b for 108 points

  • i love that place. amazing<3

  • The judges TOTALLY paid her! Very good dive, but not worth 10s!! No way! 9s, yes... 10s, no!

  • cowboying is legit. i think it looks good as long as the toes are pointed

  • did she really get all tens?

  • To anyone that says this wasn't a perfect dive, I saw why don't YOU try to do a reverse 4 and 1/2 and we'll see how that turns out.

  • @juicyjuice1551 3 1/2 actually, but your point is made. haha :)

  • I'm a diver, albeit an old one; as well as a judge. There have been only two 10's I have ever seen; this one and Mike Finneran's in the 1972 O Trials. What made Laura's dive was that "bubbled" entry, reflective of a perfect angle of approach.

  • SOFT

  • OMG! that was soooo good! i cant believe how little splash she had!

  • wow that was cool but it looked like she allmost hit her head

  • water looks beautiful and soft.

  • I hope I can dive this well one day! I have my first competition this weekend, I'm only doing grade 1, but I looked up these videos for inspiration, and it worked, I'm really pumped. :)

  • woot indiana

  • I don't see why tucking in the cowboy style isn't used in competition... You could complete a harder skill like that. It might not look AS nice, but I think all of diving has an incredible look to it.

  • I make a bigger splash stepping in the pool... That was nuts.

  • The splash has everything to do with it, Thats the last thing the judges see you think they remeber the hurdle. No! where you land and your entry is what they remeber she nailed the dive so give her a break!

  • omg:) thats soooo sickkk

  • just wow - there are no words for this!!

  • great,

  • I get chills every time i see this dive

  • nah the splash is barely it at all. its all about the technique, mechanics, and how they go in the water. the splash is a bit of an afterthought

  • @cristinadiver12

the splash is the difference between 9 and 10

    thats a big difference

  • I really can't decide between this and Boudia's gainer. They were both spectacular.

  • 10.0

  • nothing but air in that rip

  • That was amazing!!!

  • stop at 0:03 !!!!!!!!!!!!! :o

  • why... :S

  • dont they judge it by the splash idk i dont really watch diving cuz i like to watch the swimming and gymnastics but that was really nice!!!!

  • yea by how big the splash is

  • thats a small part of it

  • surfergurl-- the entry (splash) is only one of the things they look for. It's all about the form, like... how good the position is, how vertical they are when the hit the water, sometimes even their approach to the end of the board/platform before they dive, things like that.

    C:

  • man great dive but dont u think that was a little close to hitting ur head?

  • what olympics is this trials for?

  • flawless! perfect!

    whoa 0_0

  • technically it was a little too close

  • @dcidrummer93 well lets see you do it better...

  • I know nothing of diving so what does it take to have a good dive?

  • nicht schlecht, perfekt um genau zu sein^^

    5 sterne für den sprung.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!

  • I literally got goosebumps because this shit was epic as fuck and deserved those tens.

  • @xohalicia holy fuckin shit dude So did I!!

  • Oh wow, that was perfect.

  • WOW.

  • im not a diver, but im an ex gymnast.

i know thing dive isn't easy, it doesnt even look easy.

just think how much practise shes put in to get it to how it is now.

i dare you guys to go try it, fools.

  • how many of u peeps r divers? and know wats going on? id luv to see u do a reverse much less a 307c - ha and live, go ahead and diss watever u want- After u know wat it is ur dissing!

  • she was not close at all it looks close this angle but thats just the distance you want to be at.

  • omg almost hit diving board much

  • ....

    Holy shit.

    That was incredible. xDD

  • Its not dangerous if you always jump this distance. I think she can do it. She dives consistently.

  • i know her

  • damn, u too

  • wow she almost hit her head

  • great dive!

  • im gonna make diving vids of me soon please subscribe (i am diving for almost 4 yrs) im not really good but im at C-B atm

  • Yeah she made it, she goes to my church I know her in person

  • that must be great! lucky bastard :P

  • if some one want´s to be nice with me and save me the reading, is this girl in Beiging now ?! she is really great

  • yeahh ! right at this moment, i'm watching her at the womens' 10 meter platform diving- semi finals ! she's doing great !

  • Perfect 10 :D

  • i don't get it

  • notice the splashes barely made on her enterance?

  • Amazing! She is the greatest!

  • insaneee.

    :]:]:]

  • That was flawless - thumbs up 4 her

  • She nearly smacked her head.

  • wow that was a perfect dive

  • Laura Wilkinson is so incredibly amazing!!!!!

I hope she gets the gold this year!

  • hehe, I didn't know Samus dove.

But in all seriousness, that was awesome.

  • Hahahaha! Samus!?!?! That was funny when I read that! It would be funny if she dove wearing an armoured suit with a gun arm. Hahahaha! But seriously, Laura's diving is insane! I wish I saw it when it aired. Oh well, I can watch the actual competions this week end. I mean on the tele of course. I only wish I could go to Beijing and watch it live.

  • i could watch this all day

  • Pause it at 4 seconds so cool

  • if she didn't cowboy,

she probably would've broken her nose.

  • you go laura :)

  • I swear I thought she was going to hit her head! Thankfully I was wrong.

  • That was awesome! cowboyed or not it was amazing

  • that's incredible!

  • i think the Oylmpic trial judges know what they're talking about.

  • I don't see how "badly cowboyed" her legs were. she got a good jump a tight tuck and a straight line before she entered the water without splash.

  • it was... well in gymnastics if you cowboy it thats a deduction.

  • In diving no anymore. In switzerland you still have to. but internationally you don't. while greg louganis was diving he had to hold his knees together. from my point view it looked better. but the rules have changed.... and i can't change them :))

  • @eMthegymnast: Well, until 1990 they gave deductions when your knees were separate (not more than a hand apart) but then the diver's tried to make more somersaults and they tried to get a faster rotation. In the end every diver separated his knees, so it doesn't matter any more. It looks terrible, but who cares? :)

  • I'd like to see you do that as perfectly as her. Then maybe you can say how "cowboyed" her legs were.

  • Okay troll, I'll bite. If her legs were cowboyed: (1) I didn't see it, and I was there. (2) I studied the original, raw video for any signs of a split tuck, and I couldn't see any (though review of the NBC TV show may prove illuminating in this case). (3) Anyone who says that the dive wasn't perfect, in spite of the fact that all seven judges (including the legendary Dick Kimball) gave her a 10, probably doesn't know what he or she is talking about. Your comment: -1.

  • Yeah, I agree. If she cowboyed her tuck, the judges would have deducted at least one point for that. But the thing is, cowboying a tuck looks so ugly that if you were to perform a dive doing so, judges would probably deduct more than just one point. But Laura's tuck look really solid. It does not look like she cowboyed that mothah phukah. It looks like a solid 307C. But with a manuver like that, she probably could score just as well with a 307B. Her dive is amazing!

  • Dude, there is too much going on in just one second for me to capture what screen shot you are talking about. You can actually see her in the last part of her somersault, openning from the tuck, open position, entering the water, and disappearing into the water all in that fourth second. So, what part of that fourth second are you talking about?

  • @Rahhhzel Their was a slight slip but thats to put her head in here tuck so its invailid plus Judges dont see it it never happend

  • @Rahhhzel im going to dick kimballs diving camp this year! ahaha my coach said were probably going to get a lot of 1 on 1 time with him too :)

  • Man shut up. that was absolutley amazing. it was flawless.

  • @eMthegymnast i agree with Rahhhzel.

there was a very very very slight cowboy

    you can hardly see it.

and even if she had a huge cowboy i would still think that

    that was a perfect dive

  • No need to be rude! I bet you can't do that! Troll...

  • @eMthegymnast her legs clearly are not cowboyed if you pause periodically during the video dumbass

  • DAMN! I think I'll stick to 1m springboard...

  • Incredible!! See ya friday laura!

  • amazing..
