  • How to get your self killed.

    1) wear matt black

    2) switch off head lamp

    3) ride a bike that is silent

    4) ride on UK roads.

    5) enjoy

    how to stay alive

    1) Ride a gratuitously loud, bright orange KTM with your lights on :D :D :D

still, Electric is the way forward but I wouldn't swap my everyday ride for one.

  • Tiene la FORMA DE KTM xDD

  • would love to know top speed on the dual motors and max distance at that speed. if it gets as close as its Gas counterpart where on the right track for all our vehicles becoming electric.

  • Why don't these electric m/c manufacturers make regenerative brakes that actually charge the batts when braking because of braking forces that drive the motors into generators?

Also why don't they use small magnets on the wheels to actually generate electricity while running?

  • @stevenunez - they do. but usually regen is on the rear wheel, so theres not a significant proportion of regen that makes it that incredibly useful during race situation. Also they have to program/write the software to make the regen smooth, like when you use the brakes. Chip yates has managed to develop front wheel regen system. check his bike out.

  • And because nobody hears you in that thing........BOOM.....you crash on the old lady!

  • @chriskirza1 why doesn't anyone get that you could use downloadable sounds from your phone... your electric bike could sound like a viper, a harley, a wrx ... anything you want it to sound like

  • @mellifluouschinook Why would you want to! An electric motor spinning at 30,000 rpm would sound awesome.

  • @Aeqelable

    agreed!

  • Oh my God, I surely am impressed. Do you have a facebook page or profile so I can add you there?

  • Sweet bike. It looks something like a wasp with no wings with tires instead of small feet. It has that sharp killer look for sure. Where would you go to charge it up when the battery is low? Do you get a charger when you buy the bike or, would you have to run it to the deal shop to have them charge it up? Can you get 400 miles on a charge. That would be awesome for sure if you could. They should have it to where you can change gears like on a normal bike. Give it more sound to I guess.

  • nice camera.

  • This bike is cool! Good work guys. Would like to give a couple of suggestions for improvements:

    1) Increase the maximum range of the bike to 250 km per charge at a cruising speed of 100km/hr.

    2) Allow the batteries to be easily changed in 5 to 10 mins with the minimum fuss. Having the ability to change the batteries means one can go touring on this bike.

  • @eindunklesbier I don't think 250 km at 100km/h is possible with today batteries.. The MC would be quite big then.. It's just my feeling..

  • how many Kw can that put out

  • looks like ktm rc8

  • @thundercoupe9

yes, its based on an RC8 Chassis

  • @mavizenegp how much is the top speed of this bike and how much does it cost? I see some lightnings from the engine. Is there a problem? I wanna buy this.

  • @mavizenegp how much for one that you can charge on 110v

  • nice filming at first i thought it was a toy

  • What does the Low speed have to do with the BMS ?

What was the point of the video?

  • very nice and VERY impressive...but when it goes 300km/h, has a low price, runs as smooth as a yamaha and makes my blood boil when I just sit on it, then I might consider buying it...until then, keep up the good work...

  • The lack of sound really really worries me about electric bikes. I'd be shitting myself especially if I had to filter with it. Having sound is a huge safety feature. Hence why many ride in a lower gear when they filter (i.e. to keep the high noise revs up).

  • This is one of the top three bikes I dream of owning.

The other two being the powerbike from Akira and a horribly over chromed Harley.

  • @Scrapsky- Having a hub motor increases UNSPRUNG weight a few hundred percent, so ...yes, for a commuter scooter, your idea is valid. For a superbike...not so much.

  • My mind is boggled! This is excellent!

  • nie ma dzwieku nie ma fanu,

  • nice cam everyone should have 1

  • there is no point to have a chain trasmission in an electric motorbike , the rotorshoulb integrated in the wheel , with a chain you a wasting 20 /30 % of the energy .

  • How much?

    How fast?

  • sounds like a tie fighter.. lol

    It's awesome!!

  • its an ktm rc8 with an elektronic engine^^

  • I just can't wait to have a ride on this!!

  • What a beauty! You guys are doing an amazing job! Fantastic! >:)

  • What was this video filmed with?

  • The camera is a JVC GY HD110E

  • I'll take one.

  • Looks great, sounds great, and moves great. You know we're never satisfied, though: we want to see it at speed!
