I don't however agree that this sounds anymore like a snare than a drum that's tuned with a dryer, more articulate sound in mind. I'm very curious as to how you came up with what a marching snare drum is "supposed to" sound like, as if any one tuning is correct or incorrect. Well I was taught in high school by their current snare tech, and I have actually drummed with a couple of the Blue Devils snare drummers. I have seen them live, and I saw them on the field in Lucas Oil Stadium for finals in 2010. I used the senses that God gave me. I used my eyes, ears, and reasonable intelligence to come to the conclusion that the Blue Devils are talented guys.

There wasn't a tick called out until the last thirty seconds of the second movement.
