  • That is pretty good actually!!! Very effective!

  • sweet five stars and favorite!!!!!!!!

  • That's fucking amazing.

  • could u plz make a tutourial 4 ths?

  • What was the song thrown in at the end?

  • malisimo

  • wow! that was amazinG!

  • that would have beend much better than the official one

  • In Quantom Of Solace he actauly does one at the end.

  • and the best part about it that its the same format

  • nicely done ! fletch.. you are just magnificient in video making

  • oh my god, that guy has the exact same body like daniel craig!!!

  • good but how did you maked it?

  • that gave me a seizure.

  • it's cool

  • I'm thinking he earned the right to be Craig's sidekick and live long unlike 006.

  • What the?

  • Its better than Casino royals one!!

  • I love it, stone cold show stopper

  • Dude this rocks! What program did you make it in?

  • Adobe After Effects.

  • The $900.00 program! Lucky.

  • Not that expensive if you can get a student discount! ;)

  • Seems to me that you need to let me use your Student Discount so I can get a copy!

  • Try eBay! Look for an older version, you don't necessarily need the latest CS3 version. I've seen AE Pro 7 for about 250$. And with that license you can even upgrade to a more recent version if you need to.

  • What music is in this?

  • Don't know, it's from the original teaser trailer.

  • i still dnt reli gt it

you do a blue layer which is just a blue hole where the gun barrel hole is?

then you have the blood layer, which is a white hole untillt he transition to blood which then turns red ?

  • One layer is the complete gunbarrel, as it is, with all zooming and effects (in this case), but a blue hole where originally Craig can be seen. The blood layer only consists of the part of the animation, where the blood is running down the hole. As the blood layer is below the blue whole layer, it doesn't need a hole. It just needs to be white where you need full transparency and red where the Bond footage needs to be tinted in red.

  • i gt it now

im using a higher definition than urs tho

just one thing where and how do u tint the bond footage

  • so are you saying that you just painted the hole white untill the blood passed

or did u meen u painted it blue untill the blood?

  • It consists of different layers: the gunbarrel itself with a blue hole and a blood layer, red on white. Have a look at my tutorial video. It's about the Goldeneye gunbarrel, but the technique is almost the same.

  • Pretty close. A little more work on the zooming wouldn't hurt though.

  • Now you got me curious: what could be improved with the zooming?

  • As I remember, in the trailer the zoom went TOO crazy. Yours is not so crazy :P I mean it zoomed right into Craig.

  • Nope, it's exactly the same, have a look again at the original teaser. All I did was replace the 'Bond' footage. The gunbarrel animation with the zoom and the flashes is completely untouched and straight from the teaser.

  • just wondering

for the bloodlayer do u use a white background or do u blue colour key it untill the blood is completely over

  • I use a white backgground for the bloodlayer. Applying it with the blending mode "Multiply" makes it as transparent as it needs to be.

  • you did all perfect!

  • tell me how, please, please, please.. :D

  • awesome pose ;)

    five'd

  • Well bloody done. I want to know how to do that. I wouldn't stop. Good. No Excellent.

  • not bad !

    thanks

  • wow! please tell me how to do that

  • Just PERFECT!!! ;)

  • that's just amazing!!!

  • How did you add the gunbarrel?

  • how did u made those 3 color changes?

  • it's inversion of colour

  • Exactly, also called negative. Thank you Carlos! ;)

  • Only one word to describe your video: wow!

  • Perfect gun barrel, I've not seen anyone do better on youtube.

  • Wow that was very good and im not easily impressed

  • Never mind

  • How did you get the gunbarrel?

  • Very good.

    xxx

  • cool - cept craig has to pick up the gun first, not giving him time for a proper pose.

  • I made this before the movie was out, so all I had as reference was the teaser trailer (where I also got the gun barrel footage from). In the teaser you can't see him picking up the gun, he just turns around from a slightly hunched pose. That's what I tried to recreate with my "Bond". If you look closely, he's also slightly leaning forward and looking down. But hey, you're a good observer! ;)

  • Ah, I understand :)

  • blimey, that's better than the one on the film...

  • Well, I can't really take the credits for it: the teaser of 'Casino Royale' had exactly this version of the gunbarrel. However, the changed it for the final movie.

  • not bad at all!!! very impressed!

  • Bloody cool.

  • hey thats pretty close, it kinda looked like that

  • Nice!

  • hey that is really well made can you send me details on how to make it

  • It's just three layers: the actor (with keyframed resizing) and the blood layer and the bluescreen layer (both the same, ripped from the official Casino Royale teaser, cleaned with a paintbrush in After Effects).

  • man please teach me how to do that

  • how do u make the gun barrel effect??? I NEED TO KNOW...

  • Well, I didn't do it myself - I just took it from the official teaser (the HQ version, of course) and put it over the footage of my friend. All I had to do is clean the hole and make a blood layer to mix in.

  • ya thats really well done

  • well done man

  • Awesome :D

  • Fletch,

I'm more impressed with your version than the CR one.

The CGI version in CR looks like a battleship gun rather than a pistol.

It has too many rifling grooves.

    Keep it oldschool!

    -Shark

  • Lmao pretty awesome! Casino Royale was a great movie.

  • Nice, ive done some after effects asweell. you might want to check out my showreel - Its all fun.lol.

  • Thats well good , did you do that with After effects

  • Thanks for your comment! That's right, I used After Effects. I used mainly three layers: the one with the actor, the graphics with a blue screen hole and one red overlay for the blood running over the hole.

  • what program did you use to create this effect?

  • I used Adobe After Effects.

  • ooooooooooo! thanks

  • thanks the video its a pitch

  • Can you tell me more details?

    I want to do that!

    Thanks

  • I suggest you have a look at my Quick Video Tutorial for the Goldeneye gun barrel. It's practically the same here, though a lot easier as there is no horizontal barrel motion to correct. Still two layers here, one for the blood and one blue color key. You only have to resize the actor's layer according the barrel motion and add the strobe effect (it's a simple invert/negative effect).
