  • I met him once, he was a Gentleman. RIP Don

  • God save the King!

  • Only found out today that Don Partridge had passed - he helped make the 60's unique! RIp, sir.....

  • R.I.P Don, i never met you but it would have been a pleasure to meet the "King of the Buskers" , i would have been very honoured to have filmed you for my Buskers site but i have your picture as my background so that people who view my site will always remember Don Partridge, the King of the Buskers!! R.I.P Don ..Never Forgotten!!.

  • part of my past I miss...........

  • I was round my mate Ray Young's house when Don came in with his guitar and a bass drum. Don said "I got a great idea, I'm gonna be a one man band!"The rest is history. bye bye Don, you were one of the great ones.Sadly missed.

  • sorry to see old dons gone ,i didn't know till i saw this ,i played in a pub with him once ,did't know his tunes but played by ear,it was a nise tune up,he was a modest person easy to get on with, this is good that you put this on here for people to see him play and chat.rip

  • I love his pureness!!!

  • Pity I don't understand Swedish, but it's a nice video of this famous busker!!

  • Thanks Marie for this great share of Don Partridge in Stockholm. You see the other day I was just commenting a video Mick had uploaded of this great street-singer. You know in the 70´s it was forbidden to sing in the streets and he was fined for it too.

  • This is great, i knew there was footage of Don out there somewere, ive been harrasing the BBC for any old footage they have of Don from the 60s so im hoping they come up with something. I was at his funeral also, hope ye all like mi bit of video i uploaded.

  • This is lovely, thanks for posting. Can't understand most of it but it's good to see the old mukka again. xx

  • Go for it!

  • Great to find this Swedish footage on here at last! Don showed me his copy of this when I was round his place a couple of years back, and I said at the time it would be good for people in the UK to be able to see this,as there's been no footage available of Don,Alan Young, and the other buskers from that era. Thanks for putting it on here.

R.I.P. Don,we gave you a good send off at The Bay Tree in Seaford yesterday, after a very moving funeral . Musicians everywhere, what a wake!!

  • @thechucklefoot Hello Chucklefoot and Stompie!!!

I also went to Don's funeral and wake yesterday and have footage of you both and the others playing outside the chapel before the service.

I was thinking of uploading to YouTube (if that's OK with you) once I've edited out some of my poor camera work!

  • @videodabble Yeah,it's ok to upload the footage,I spoke to Woody,Alan, and Vic,they're all ok about it,if you edit it won't it cut out bits of the music?

  • @thechucklefoot No. I'm just thinking where it's out of focus of overlaying

with a photo or two that I also took and would like to include whilst keeping the sound track uninterrupted. I should say we're talking about amateur camera work that I'm trying to improve with amateur editing :o)

  • Thank you for uploading this footage. RIP Don
