it didnt really work... I appreciate that the bit from kids..would have worked well as a mixed in sample before kicking out the tune..but as a full on "mash in" it become more like a "forced into your ear canal" like having your ears raped by screaming kids and a manic depressive with a casio.

You clearly have some technical ability tho..try tunes that are alittle less busy..find one that's dominant and use more snips of your non-dominant tune.. go for it!

Great idea mixing these songs together, my only humble suggestion would be to keep the downbeats in sync instead of having the LCD lyrics come in two beats after the MGMT rift (for those who know both songs very well it comes off a little awkward). Maybe take it into Ableton and add some thicker bass too. Overall a great start!

Also, Serato snobs, please grow up. Serato, Traktor, and VDJ all have their strengths and are good for different things. DJing is about the audience, not your ego.

Interesting idea, shame you didn't really pull it off mate, consider starting the kids riff so that it begins at the start of the bar.. because at the moment you're halfway through the MGMT part and then LCD soundsystem lyrics come in, it makes it feel disjointed.

Also put some of the lyrics from Kids in there, otherwise it's barely a remix, just a song that's been ruined by having a random riff in it.

Its not bad. I think it would sound better if you either faded the kids playing in the background and brought in a strong a bass line. Then you do that for a like 8 measures and then bring back the kids. It sounds repetitive now and drowns out the singer.
