Anyone who knows anything about boxing will tell you that holding, turning your back to your opponent and ducking below the waistline (the latter 2 being dangerous) are illegal and will eventually result in dissqualification.

I do not doubt that Dirrell could of won and may of got an extra round or 2 but had Direll of conducted himself like a champ then froch would of landed more and so may of got the stoppage.

This is why Dirrell did what he did.

I see bad points with both Dirrell and Froch's tactic but Froch was lucky that someone paid off that joke of a referee because slamming your opponent to the ground, which could have resulted in a back injury for Dirrell is enough to warrent a disqualification. Holding is illegal but Froch was holding in the 10th, and 11th, noone seems to have a problem with that. Froch was getting frustrated because he is simply not equipt to deal with a fighter who won't stand in front of him and trade.

Froch looked bad for the same reason as he did in the Taylor fight mate - it was due to the speed of his opponents.

I don't think Froch should win for just turning up but I also believe the onus is on the challenger to really beat the Champ. What i mean by this is that you can't expect to get a decision in the champs backyard using such negativity.
