The kayak in the video is a Tarpon 120, but the 22" Dashboard will work on any Tarpon. If you are looking to mount a TDA (transducer deployment arm) to the end of the Dashboard you may want to move up to the 24" Dashboard on the Tarpon 100 because it's track are set a little further apart than the other Tarpons.

The Dashboard is out in front of your feet, so rods in rod holders mounted on the Dashboard would be in front of you and easy to keep an eye on. A Wilderness Systems Tarpon with a Dashboard would be a great combination for fishing on the Great Lakes.
The deck is low enough (only 4" off the surface of the kayak) that "tippy" is not a problem. The other product designed to be used with the 09 Tarpons, the Sideboard, is flat on the surface of the kayak, if you worried about the height of the Console.

If the bolts are adjusted properly its pretty solid. And if you want to fix the location you can tighten the bolts and its solid as a rock.

How do you keep an eye on your rods if they're behind you?
I'm thinking of getting a kayak for the Great Lakes salmon trout trolling.

This would be awesome behind the seat and about ten rodholders on it!

It would work on ether the front or rear Trax and has space to hold four or five rod holders.
