  • If you are comparing calcium, mag, etc to milk or whatever, are you comparing per gram? or what? 1T chia should be compared to 1T milk, etc. I don't think we'd ever eat 8 oz of chia, so the comparison is faulty. Never the less I prefer to get my nutrients from these raw natural sources. Overall, with a combo of greens, seeds, fresh fruits, etc. I have learned that I am getting dense nutrition from the Low Fat Raw Vegan diet. Remember too that the body makes a lot of nutrients itself.

  • No, it was just one cup of water. Sorry about the optical illusion. I had to re-watch the video again to see what was going on! I was using the Pyrex 8oz measuring cup. I held it too close to the camera. I'll watch that in the future, and thank you for the comment--excellent question.

  • Did you say 8 ounces was one cup? That looks like more than one cup.

  • It will not thicken up like Jello, but the seeds will swell up therefore taken more volume. If you only use a few seeds in a large amount of liquid you won't be able to tell unless you look at the seeds. After 15 minutes of being in liquid, you will be able to see a visible difference. Once again, IT WILL NOT BE THE CONSISTENCY OF JELLO. Hope that helps, let me know

  • @Mailialicious I had to stop taking large amounts because I lost too much weight. About 5 pounds in two weeks. I still take it just in smaller doses! I also use it because of the calcium!

  • @Mailialicious health food stores and now many supermarkets. may be near the flax seeds or baking ingredients. many brands out there. should not have to pay more than about $8/pound. Whole Foods has 'scoop your own'.
