i think he just expected to get him the second time and did it anyway which wouldnt have worked if the other guy didnt try to poke him. it wasnt that impressive really i do it all the time. not the faking the other guy out like that but getting in the second shoryuken to do the ultra.

Whether u do it or not or whatever doesn't make that less impressive. 90% of people would of went for an attack or a poke of some sort after the second cancel. That was a sweet sweet fake

I don't know why you got thumbs down for that but I agree 100%. It is a bit reminiscent of Guilty Gear It's like the Ryu player was doing FRC mix-ups/rushdown mindgames to set up for that super. If SF4 has mechanics similar to another game there is nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, it's about time they adopted/brought something new to the system.

That mixup at the end (Kanbara) was awesome. Made up for his missing combo of Shoryu FADC into Metsu.
