  • thats really cool!

  • nice seat... ouch

  • Very nice. I've seen a couple other similar bikes. There's another one, also using Dolmar power, but 24, yes, count 'em 24...and they are each 79 cc Dolmar 7900's....the Dolmette

Just search for it, youtube doesn't allow me to link to it.

    I own several Dolmar's, including 3 7900's, great saws.

  • Great work, and in two days! Wow. You must have a great place to find junk parts. It sounds as thought the ratio should still be higher. Your neighbors must cringe every time that thing starts :(.

  • if you were a real man that bike chain would have teeth and cut wood while you drove!

    j/k bike's awesome.

  • its 4stroking, lean it out a little.

  • I love the rough and ready build of it. Two days means you didn't stuff around. It works great, by the look of it.

BTW...I miss the cold and snow. I grew up in winters like this, but long ago moved to hot country. I miss the ice and snow.

Looks like a nice town with tolerant neighbours. Be kind to them...with noisy small motors etc.

  • well looks like I know what im gonna do with my vintage Homelite Super wiz 88 chainsaw

  • how often do you need to replace the clutch?

  • @crazydriver1978 Well, i haven't! Since my gear ratio is perfect, the clutch doesn't wear out. or not much.

This has a good clutch, some chainsaws has an aluminum ones, and they are crap!

  • @Ankeladden

I own scads of saws, and doubt any saws use any aluminum clutch components

  • @rbtree I had a chainsaw that used an aluminum clutch. i tried to make an mtorbike, but the clutch just faded to shavings....

  • Welcome. Is the rear wheel can withstand such a force from the engine?

  • Nice job, looks like fun to build and ride; one question, how does the one bicycle break on the back wheel stop it?

  • What was the overall Gear Ratio from input to output?

  • @dethtotheking 12-1, witch means 16-36 * 8-48 :)

  • Good job sir...well done.

  • Very nice job and it runs well. You might want to add a muffler to keep peace with the neighbors so their complaints don't put an end to your builds. Keep posting your creations.

  • FUCK YOU MAN!!! i want to do a chainsaw bike too,and guess what? i have a DOLMAR too :))) please subscribe mee how fast you can i have some questions for you :D.PLEASE HURRY UP

  • um i have a few questions they r4 how did u conect a sprocket to ur chainsaw and also how to the back tire

  • @TheMatt70140 Well, it was easy, i just welded a small sprocket on the clutch house, no big deal ;)

The back sprocket was welded to the smal backsproket on the back, if you want, you could just fasten it in the small sprocket wiht nuts and bolts.

  • it isnt exactly a chainsaw bike without the saw, cool though

  • Great Job!

  • good workin man!

  • use more rpm

  • good job!

  • jesus you have a small front sprocket

  • can u chop logs with it? HAHA

  • Cool project for a young inventor. Keep up the good work, build a car next.

  • @jkejr Thanks :) Yeah, it will perhaps be a car next, but I do love to make small projects.

  • sounds 350 km / h hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • wheres the beer holder? LOL

  • hey i got a nice 32cc engine, but it may not have a clutch, i cant ell. if it don't, where can i get a clutch that will work with a 30cc engine?

  • lower the gears so you can use more rpm or, get a bigger cc chainsaw one with higher rpm

the dolmar is governed to 8100, if you can and 11k ungoverned so if you can fix that you might get more speed that way

or get a stihl! they hit 16k rpm unloaded 13k loaded (based on 066)

  • yes ive all ways wanted to do this on a 21 speed road bike the old kind. with a 60 cc saw. and still be able to use the gear selector to just get mass power and speed, needs a disc brake front n rear and a strong chain and sprocket set. what ever,

  • hahah...THAT WAS AWESOME! And comically loud. Good job dude.

  • :( awww, I was expecting some elaborate chainsaw attack system mounted to the front, cool bike though :P

  • i wud hate to hear that going ddown my street :p

  • nice, but where do you put your feet? LOL

  • Your gearing is way to high. Saws top out at 10-13,000 RPM. Your getting maybe 5,500/6,000. And maybe 3/4 of the power that the engine actually will make.

  • @tubefed420

Assuming those rpms you would get nothing near 3/4 of full power.

  • Aren't these illegal? And wouldn't it just be easier to get an old moped?

  • Badass bruh

  • a very well built machine good job

  • wind that bitch out

  • thats great, top speed? 12:1 would mean it goes about 30mph?

  • @Cchange4us Thanks!

The bike did 45 km/h about 30 m/h, but i don't need more speed, because i need some touqe to clime the hils. The only thing i would recomend, is to use the freewheel, its a hell with all the chains. But overal, it was a great bike, and i had a lot fun with it.

  • it sound fine you gonna need to hear my chainbike it sound more grazy and more horsepower 20 horse power

  • Perfect bro @

  • Hey! Nice bike and I like what you did but!? You know how gears on a bike work? Of course you do! What if you welded a sprocket onto the main pedal shaft so you still have gears and then chop off the pedals with a ricp saw?

  • @1FMF2 It might work, but you need to remember that you need the right gear-ration. mine have a 12-1, witch means 16-36 * 8-48. You might also use wheels with multiple gears, those with gears in the wheel hub.

If you can get the right gear ration to the back wheel it will work, but it has to be 12-1 or similar, (16-1)

You can calculate your speed on this site: diygokarts. com/speed-calculator. html

    Hope this helps you!

  • Awesome. I am starting to make something like this with a rototiller motor if I can get the motor running.

  • Idk bout u guys but I'd rather have that dolmar power head with a 32 inch bar and chain rather than on a bike

  • I am sure that the cops will tell you that you have to have it licensed and have turn signals, lights, and brake lights, plus goggles or a windshield.

  • Great idea! Keep building what you "see".

  • i hav a 50cc motor on my bike and before i had a wiper sniper motor but i never saw a chainsaw motor on a bike AWESOMENSSS :DDDD

  • @Icecube5285 Thanks, I wanted to make a motorized bike that did not use friction, but I did't have a weed eater... so I ended up with this =D

  • @Ankeladden Its better with a chainsaw engine, it is much more torque-y. ;)

  • cool! chainsaw bike

  • @briansfarm1 Thanks =D

  • @Ankeladden i weigh close to 190. how big would the chainsaw have to be?

  • bad ass bro mines faster lol

  • @burberrygrl38 Thanks.... so yours are faster.... how fast does your bike go??

  • i can recognize that akcent youre norwegian or swedish !

  • @samuraiwarrior1988 Yep, I'm Norwegian ;)

Høres det veldig enkelt at jeg er norsk??

  • thats fucking awesome

  • @Digadogup Thanks :) Have a new video coming up, it's mini version of this bike, but only better XD

  • K

what's the top speed of it?

  • @benmays54 hmm, since the gear ration is so high it only goes about 40k/h. This bike does have some torque since the gear ration is so high.

  • Yo what are the # of teeth on those sprockets?

  • @benmays54 16/48-8/48

  • cool make use of what you had laying around

  • @8tyman8 Yeah, I finely made something from that chainsaw, this video clips are some month old. Now i'm riding it in to the sunset XD
