@ElCactus He's referring to the way it's typically spoken e.g. 415 HP and 3100 pounds for a ratio of 7.5 ( my GT3) A high ratio would be like 100 HP and 3000 pounds (30 ratio). But I agree - it's not the most straightforward or intuitive measurement.

I was shocked to know When Mclaren came up with the idea of MP4 12C offering less then 300g of CO2 emissions with 0-100 time rated at 3.2 seconds and top speed of 300 Km/hr. Now compare that to same 0-100 time and top speed of 320 Km/hr with mere 70g of CO2 emissions and fuel economy that murder almost any economy car in comparison.

I love the concept and I love that stutgart is taking it to the next level, i.e. PRODUCTION. But with electric power good for only 25 km!!!.... What kind of Shamwow Obama-job is that. It's a really sweet car, but why make it a hybrid? It still needs a combustion engine to crank out any decent performance, and price of gasoline won't be an issue for anyone who can afford to buy one of these. I have always loved Porsches; 356s, 911s, 917s. I used to have Arrest-Me-Red 944S that I raced. The Carrera GT was gorgeous & awesome, and was favorite. But this 918 is the most beautiful car I have ever seen, I actually got tears in my eyes the 1st time I saw it. If I ever win the lottery, this is the number one thing on my list.

I always liked Porsche cause of their conservative statements..But this is the complete opposite.

I have yet to see an almost racing engine with 3.4L/500hp stats produce 70gr/km CO2 and use 3lt/100km, let alone claim a 7.30 lap for a prototype.Yes, it is supposed to be situational but to me the 918 spyder is more of a commercial project that a future direction for the company.
