No, you have no idea what it is like to face an armed and dangerous suspect! Your criticism that there are lots of Police cars is in fact incorrect. Even if you were to shoot an armed suspect doesn't mean he will stop shooting back. If you did any research you would learn that there have been many instances, for example school shooting, mall shooting, where suspect has been struck by up to 40 rounds of ammo before being neutralized.

In Australia and newzealand there would not be half of the Police dept/station chasing a car, five at most and when a gun is involved then only two SERT/TRG (Special Emergancy Response Team/Tatical Response Group)units would be called in at most.

And if they where in a chase they get the licence plate number and then find out if the car is stollen, if not they raid the house to which it belongs to, if it is stloen they let the police chopper track where they are going.
