  • hahaha the palomino pony just sticks his head in the start like as if hes saying " Hey why are filming her not me " hahahahah

  • PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My horse some how got constipated while giving birth!

    I don't know she just did :(

  • @lisasmith2011

I'm Sorry to hear that about your Horse Lisa. That's Very Strange that your Horse got Constipated while Giving Birth. I'm Hoping that your Horse is ok. Please let me know because I Love Horses Too. My Aunt and Uncle have a Few Horses Too and there Beautiful!!!

  • This is an experienced momma, by the look of how fast that was.

  • LOL at 0:25

  • so cute but yet looks so painful! >.<

  • @XxANATAGASUKIxX that because birthing is painfal. :b us human females have it worse. imagine squeezing something as big as a watermelon out. now that painful. >.<

  • i love horses and this was an amazing birth to watch :)

  • I don't believe that human help is always a problem. many mares get too tired and need a little extra help. If you know what you're doing you can only help.

  • Beautiful, she knew just what to do, and all on her own :)

  • umm.. hun.. you gotta.. oh god.. you gotta leg comin out of your ass.. oh god this is weird

  • How lovely, thats was a lovely birth

  • this is probably the fastest one ive seen

  • True Bonding there!

  • have you ever been to a birth cause if you did you wouldnt be saying shit like that. when you horse is in labour and is in trouble you help thats how it is. it the same as a woman when she has a baby nature desinged us to have our babies but yet most of us still go to the hospital to have our babies

  • Instant fav. This was a beautiful birth too.

  • my i ask some thing what is that white stuff??

and what is that white stuff that around the foal??

  • @tribzz09 It's the sac around the baby.

  • @tribzz09 That's the membrane that surrounds the baby in the womb. Humans have the same thing, but it doesnt come out with the baby (usually!), it comes out about 10 minutes after the baby is born with the placenta and all that stuff.

  • @tribzz09 That is called the placenta, dear.

  • @tribzz09 well its seems you've never seen a hose birth before, the white stuff is the sac that the foal is in, the gush of fulide in the begining is the "water" (isnt water, but people call it that) braking the sac, and then the foal is born :)

  • @tribzz09

It's the placenta hun. Ya know, the sack full of amniotic fluid?

  • @tribzz09 it's the sack that the foal was in when it was in it's mother's body.....

  • aww that was so cute!!!

  • Naww, wonderful birth! I like the part when she's like " wait what?! ( heads up ) ITS OUTTTT, PAIN IS GONE :D "

  • Thank you for sharing how beautful!

  • aw. that is beautiful

  • beautiful horse and foal!

  • that is beautiful!

  • AAAAWWWWW! we leave are horses too! well they usually do it in the night alone

  • awww beautiful! cant wait til mine gives birth xxxx

  • How long was she in labor because from what I can see it was a very speedy birth :)

  • its a horse.... NATURE IS AWESOMER

  • LIFE IS AMAZING

  • Oh, how beautiful!

Such an awesome birth, absolutely perfect! And no better place for a lil' Icelandic colt to be born than in sweet grass on a bright Midsummer's night!

Kvika looks as tho she has definitely been thru this all before!

  • What a flawless birth. Beautiful. Perfect. Congratulations.

  • Oooowwwwwwww!!

  • I love how the chesnut horse just sticks his head in. reminds me of my brother. Whenever my dad would be looking at something through the camera, adam would shick his head in the way. lol.

  • T_T beautifull~~

  • how can something so big come out through something so small. *Pain*

  • i know she was happy

  • This is such a beautiful,video.. She did very well. and that foal is gorgeous.... Aww you now have a wee baby

  • sweed

  • that was a quick birth!

  • she did a really good job:O

  • Wow, that mare did a really great job!

  • Thank you sundancedoula! My thoughts exactly! It's good to know there are some owners out there who know enough about horses that they usually don't need help and that yelling "push" to a mare not only doesn't help, but probably causes her stress and tension, leading to longer harder births. Thanks for posting this and showing how horses should be allowed to give birth as nature intended and without shouting and pulling

  • some ppl like to be involved with an important part of the pets life. if it was causing the mom stress she would have stopped the labor ( yes horses can do that) and went and found a quieter place.

  • @624brandy I have to agree with you. leave nature alone its worked for god knows how many years. we interfere and screw things up. love that they let her birth outside instead of in a bacteria infested stall.

  • 0:30 I love the way the mom walks as if there is not a leg protruding from her butt.

  • that is sooo cutexx

  • How sweet is thát! Another wonder came to the world perfectly! :)

  • LOLOLOLO

  • GOD BLESS MOMENTS LIKE THAT

  • that brown horse is like ohh ya im the daddy lol

  • at the end she is tryin to get the rest of the sac out she is like get out!!

  • whats frost branded?

  • lovely and natural,

  • Lol I love that he had his head up and they were touching noses before he was even fully our of her. What a trooper

  • @Whitters513 I know, I have never seen a newborn foal respond that way. They usually seem so lifeless (not that I'm any kind of expert).

  • I like how she walks around and she's like if you're not coming out right now I am just gonna get me a bite to eat lol

  • This is one of the only videos I've seen of a horse giving birth without "help" from humans. What a lucky animal to have owners that left her alone to do what her body was designed to do. Love it!

  • @sundancedoula Apparently someone didn't like your opinion lol. Your comment was flagged for spam; I unflagged it. It's obviously not spam and it's actually a very valid point that I share whole-heartedly.

  • @butterflytigress1985 how do u unflag comments?

  • @sundancedoula Don't know which ones you saw, but to be fair all of the ones I saw of humans helping were to assist mares in distress. If the mare becomes exhausted, lying there pushing, at some point it's time to start gently pulling the foal out.

  • @sundancedoula alot of the time, humans have to step in because the mother gets tired gives up.they have to pull the baby out or the mother will just leave it there.

  • @narayagero um I highly doubt a horse will leave something hanging out of itself... most of the time they just need some time to get up and move around, or even catch their breath. We as humans are so impatient, I don't think you see any wild horses running around with babies hanging out of them..

  • @sundancedoula

But you must notice that was a VERY straight forward birth. She didnt struggle at all.

Sometimes you need to "help" them.

she was pushing and the baby popped right out. look around the net and see if the other birthes are this easy. This is the easyist i have seen by far

  • @sundancedoula There's nothing wrong with helping with a foaling, or being prepared to help if needed, there can be complications during the birth where, you might have to help fix something or else the mother or foal would be injured during birth. And when just assisting, in maybe pulling the foal out, if you make sure you time correctly only pulling when she's pushing with the contractions, it'll make it that much faster and easier on the mother.

  • ok then

  • Congratulations!

  • Humans are the only mammals known to endure pain while giving birth.

    i wonder why?

but yeah.. it sucks for us ladies

  • was the baby the thing sticking out her backside earlier?

  • aw- what a good mama she is! waiting for a mare to foal is nerve wracking... my best friend just found out that her new mare is pregnant...and is due any day now!!

  • imagin how bad that hurts

  • she was like wtf just come outta me 1:31

  • it was very fast well :D

  • subhanAllah! amazing

  • I saw the giving birth of an horse, a sheep, a giraffe , a dolphin, a dog, an orang-utan, a dalmatiner, a killer-wale, a panda, an ice-bear, a snake, a cow, an elephant and an human and i think it is so awesome to see it. All of my friends, my mother and sister think it is disgusting too think about it. But THIS is LIVE :)

  • you mean "life"?

  • excatly but never actually seen a birth but i think its cool and just a tad gross but mostly amazing to see a new soul come in

  • bin there dont that 5 times.!! and i thank god every day.! <3

  • that was lovely, well done for getting it on film and not playing midwife, I hate it when ppl think they have to get stuck in.

  • ADORABLE

  • Aww, it's so cute!

One of life's precious moments. :3

  • seems painful

  • the other horse was like dude, you okay?

gorgeous horse, love seeing God's creatures uh...do their thing.

  • i know it's amazing i lov watching the whole thing lol

  • wow that was fast!!

  • beautiful i love the live

  • aw so cute!!!!!

  • I love the gentle little noises she makes to her new baby, welcoming it into the world x

  • ahhh naw

  • when my horse gave birth she had to have help cause she was so small and her foul was so big .. but they are both fit and well know.. your r cute

  • awh ! i just loved how the foal just slipped right out !

  • A Quick easy text book birth. Good going momma! And the "white stuff on the baby" is called coal, or an amniotic sac. the remaining tissue hanging from the mare is the after birth.

  • that is amazing, but kinda gross 2. i feel bad 4 the mom. she seems so tired!

  • lol 1:31

"Oh hai, I'm just halfway there"

  • aww she is soo tired

  • 0:29 is soooo cute!!!

  • shouldn't two hooves come out together? just guessing..

  • My mum saw a sheep giving birth, and because she had expirienced it herself, she stood over its pen yelling ''PUSH GIRL PUSH!'' cringerama or what!

  • lol your mom sounds funny

  • ahahh weirdo .(you)

  • :o Kvika stood up while the foal's hoof was poking out!!!

  • it kinda look discusting,, but ita a miracle,, and at the beggining shes just walking around with a leg sticking out of her assXD

  • i think the white stuffs called viscera or that might be just on babys

  • dont go at the back!!! she will kick yah

  • lol theres a leg sticking out of her but

  • mashallah glory be to god its soo cute <3

  • adorable the very last part not so much lol

  • umm heloooo?! the poor horse cant give birth with u just standing around and not removing the sack of the mother! omg thas just sad ppl

  • yes it can...horses out in the wild give birth, and dont have help from ppl

  • juliacullen1986-

    lol O_o

How do horses in the wild give birth then?

  • the miracle of life

  • whats the white stuff

  • wow... your uhmm.......well you dont no anything about horses do you ?

  • Aaaw thats so cute

  • ur surpose to help the mother by removing the sack from from "ass" and from the baby

  • so theres a little gremlin in the wild that goes round removing the sack! the mare will remove it herself and eat it due to the fact that it has lots of good nutrients and stuff in it.

  • none of my horses have ever aten the placenta

  • well they are sopossed to eat the placenta!:S

  • she was eating it at the end.

  • its really good for em

  • Aww...what a wonderful mama she is....very beautiful

  • Humans, pls try and refrain from making idiotic comments when you can witness something this beautiful...

  • thank u

  • Thats So F**kin NAsty LOL

  • awh! poor thing, it came out through her butt hole lol

  • That's one big turd

  • beautiful. he is a gourgeous foal!

  • That's just soo.....weird. But it's cool at the same time...highly interesting! Thanks for sharing.

  • Aww! What did u name him?

  • His name is Edall, means "the noble one".

  • Best place to foal is on the grass - cleanest. Was the foal a colt or filly?

  • This was a colt and is now living in Sweden :-)

  • @Lythorse är du från svergie / are you from sweden or live there ? :)

  • @perfectuunity: we are on Iceland :-)

  • OMG! Spider web from its butt!

  • That was a bit weird.. when only the foal's leg was sticking out and she was walking. But when the foal was finally out, it was cute. (:

  • shouldnt you have helped? :/

  • no they are best left alone

  • olny some times

  • Mares do it better than cows. Bred cows, I mean.

  • congratulations for letting her do it on her own!

  • once its out its kinda cute

  • Yeah it was night time. They have light nights there. Light day and night sometimes.

  • that was night time??

  • I thought horses cant be sick so what was that aout sicking the white stuff up?

  • beautiful foal and mare! 5 of my 150 mares are giving birth to night wait make that 6 im soo happy i have willing stable hands to help me even at 3:00AM

  • ha ha i have 2 say that when the leg was first comin out i was like "wat the" then i understood...i cant wait till my friends mare gives birth!

  • one question for horse breeders: does the birth sac still attached to the mare fall off? my friend has a pregnant mare due in late february early march.

  • Yes, it will fall off.

Generally the mare should eat the birthing sack, then heave it up.

If the mare doesn't sick it up, she may need medical attention.

  • Very sweet but i was nearly being sick

  • oh shit that looked like one painfull poop to get out...

whats that white stuff sticking out at the end and how does it come off??

  • aw so cute. When it comes out shes like " hmm whats this, and sniffs it!"

  • beautiful birth! had this mare had foals before?

  • lol the brown horse is like.. (at 0:28)

    "I WANT ONE!!"

    LMAO

    LMAO

  • dude all that water came out and then she gets up with a foot stickin out of her ass?

  • It was cute when Kvíka and her foal touched noses! It's like they were saying; "Who are you?" "And who are you?"

  • So cute!!!!!!

  • all of them are so cute!!!

  • heheh check out the chestnut dude with his norris coles impression what an amazing birth i love the way she turns to look at her baby ears pricked forward shes a beauty x

  • Aw, she is handling it very well like a wild horse would. She must be a great mother. :) Good footage.

  • are that is so cute xx

  • Who are you... Oh you kinda smell like me! Well what should I do with you? Hmm, lets see! Ah you have a mussel just like mine! That was hard work... We'll lets see what should we do with you? Oh I know, let me just take care of this white stuff!
