This was pretty fun even on dolphin, I hope there will be more direct tales sequels soon. Everyone will probably disagree lol, but I think -the Abyss would've been a cooler sequel. Symphonia got alot better on the Wii, but it got most of it's gameplay elements from -the Abyss (FREE RUN!, mystic artes,exp, grade,etc.). They both kickass, but Abyss is more of a button masher for me.

I noticed a VERY tiny detail.

In this commercial, Marta, Emil and Richter have the same eye style as the original ToS cast.

But in the PAL and US versions, they have smaller pupils and more vivid, saturated eye color.

Wonder why they did that...

No. This game completely sucks the biggest balls ever. Compaired to other Tales games and the first Tales of Symphonia. This game comes out the WORST there is. The item limit will KILL you. The bosses are almost impossible to kill when you get to the middle. The item system sucks. If your two main characters die, then game over. You can't even do any walking yourself while traveling. This is basicly a HORRIBLE RPG. You'll regret it. Trust me.

Was disappointed by this game. Mostly because they just killed the side questing by introducing the 'Katz Guild' as a mission hub for side quests.

Nothing like the Devils Arms quest or the Book of Nifilheim quest from the first game. And what the hell is up with adding monsters to the party? Just to make them viable, you have to find extremely rare monsters, and hope to god they drop extremely rare items to sythesize so your monster can actually be viable in combat.

Apparently you missed the Richter Dungeons (including the ruined Balacruf Mausoleum, yes that one), the Alice's Past questline, the Twilight Palace questline, the Gladesheim dungeon, etc lol

Play the game through more than once - once you get the higher EXP settings, the game opens much more, and a few dungeons aren't accessible until playthrough two.

One last note on the monsters - it's not that hard, I just kept the original wolf. Now it's a level 100 Fenrir that rips through everything X3

So far I like this game better. Nicely directed, more realistic, smoother cut scenes... not all the obvious plot holes or moments like "Oh no... don't take away colette*everyone stands around for 5 minutes not doing anything while colette is kidnapped* Oh noooo.... now we have to go save her... <.<

At first, Takumi Miyajima who wrote TOS and TOA was due to write TOS2.

However, NAMCO required him to cut the cruel and violent scenes from his scenario.

But he refused it and he stopped writing TOS2 scenario...

Probably, it would have been more interesting if Miyajima had written it.

your party will continue to change thoughout the rest of the game. but you'll have everyone PERMANANTLY by Chapter 8(final chapter). well, everyone but Kratos anyway :D

dude the thing i noticed about tales games is while your playing it through the first time, you miss a lot of stuff! i played it through the second time and i kept seein stuff that were huge hints! like when "emil's" mom couldnt see his face thats why she thought he was her son (sorry for the spoiler) and then how no one recognized him. that was a huge hint right there but i didnt really think of it at the time. so anyway, if you have a wii, then you have to get this game!!! 10/10!!!!

This game was one of the best games I ever played! I finished it today and I got so sad. I wish I could forget I ever played this game so I could play it for the first time. When I saw the credits roll by I almost felt like I was going to cry. The story is great with a simple but detailed objective. The characters are the best part of this game.

Thankfully, there's an incentive to play it again from the three different endings and from the GRADE you can spend on a new game file.
