@eclecticfire73 Dennis MacShane was the one who announced the false 80000 figure in parliament, as becomes clear if you find the BBC interview on Newsnight, which is posted on Steve Moxon's blog. It seems MacShane was merely complying with the victim-female strategic frame of the Labour government, to send the message that no woman would choose prostitution, so must be a slave, thus prosecuting the client, instead of the prostitute (the Swedish model).

The thing is alot of punters don't care about where the woman came from - if she is doing it on her own free will , or if she is being blackmailed, coerced or threatened into it.
