  • OMG, I LOVE this movie!!!! :D

  • Can we get this film on here??? :D

  • It's like a Beauty and the Beast rip off..

  • Lol that's kind of the point. XD Lol

    :P

  • this was written decades before beautyand the beast and yes it was the model for that story some what

  • B+B was based off this.

This was an an old Italian folktale.

  • that's is correct!

  • not only did they seem to rip off "Beauty and the Beast", but also "Phantom Of The Opera" and "The Man Without A face"

  • @Chrispat8 but with excellent music :)

  • @aseretkavon that's true. THe music is quite lovley, even the song towards the end.

  • @Chrispat8 The Melody Within is probably my favorite of all the songs. but they're all amazing.

if you think about it, plots of stories are reused ALL the time. it's the filler things and backtracks and songs that are unique from others (most of the time). The unique bits are the things to look out for. These songs are the unique bits. :D

If you think reusing plots isn't common, look at the ENTIRE romantic comedy genre. same story, just different characters and settings. and soundtracks. haha.

  • This is such a good movie... this right here is a throwback... I used to watch this thing when I was like 9... And i remember always thinking at the end when Rigoletto go his face back.... "wow he's actually kinda hot" lol I wish I could buy this now...

  • Go die, it was amazing you just don't want to admit it. :P

  • Yeah - this was one of my favorite movies when I was little ^.^ I may have moved on to more mature tastes, but that does make the movie worse, just because I'm older. 0o

  • This was a good movie.

  • I freakin love this movie! I used to get totally freaked out by it when I was like, five, but then as I got older I began to fall in love with the story and the music! Too bad these actors aren't more well-known. They were good.

  • i don't care what you guys think but JOSEPH PAUR IS SEXY!!!! lol

  • I know this is a stupid question but when Ribaldi dies how does he come back as Rigoletto? Also since Rigoletto is an elf would that make him immortal or would he be mortal? Sorry for the questions it's just something i've been curious about.

  • I wish someone would post the eniter movie on here...lol

  • You could try the used movie and video game stores for the dvd. I found my copy for like $5 at Game Exchange. Just thought I'd tell you!

    Aimes

  • Same here. I want to be able to share it with others over the internet. Due to its unavailability.

    i was suprised.

    (in a good way)

  • I LOVE that song she sings, it always makes me wanna cry!

  • I can't remember why is it called Rigoletto?

  • It is called Rigoletto because that is the name of the Elf Prince, who it is hinted at, is Ribaldi's true identity.

  • I love this movie, its one of my favorites. i hope many people will see it, and learn the lessons i learned from it. i am also working on learning to play the sheet music! i cant wait to finish!!!
