a cafo is not always a factory farm. usually they are family owned and help the economy of the community. i live on a grain and beef farm in northern illinois and the regulations and taxes here are so anti-livestock its crazy. i know its not the good old days anymore and making a living growing crops is a lot easier than milking cows 365 days a year but i would like to drive around and see some livestock instead of just corn and soybeans.
