@mozchick01 If you're such a fan of hers then why would you not want her beautiful music to be listened to & adored by a wider audience?? It seems to me that all over youtube you have videos of unknown bands where the comments are all saying "Oh they are so underrated, it's not fair that untalented artists like Justin Bieber/Lady Gaga/Rihanna are so popular" and then once they DO become known it's "Oh I liked them BEFORE all this hype, now they're no longer indie". Seriously gets on my nerves.

yeah they seems to have called a lot of artists' success. like you see them on vh1 and then they're at the top of itunes downloads or winning all these grammys. feist, amy winehouse, corinne bailey rae, kt tunstall, franz ferdinand, the fray, james blunt, the killers, sara bareilles, and paolo nutini all come to mind.

VH1 caught Feist on the way up. They didn't predict anything IMO. By the time her second album came out she was already famous so VH1 was too late to discover her.

All of those are wonderful examples but they don't have any follow up materials worth bragging about. Amy Whinehouse is a crack head, every Feist cover I've heard is better than the original, Corinne Bailey Rae..where the hell did her career go? KT Tunstall she is good she has a nice powerful voice for a woman, James Blunt...your fuckin me right? The Killers their first album in the mainstream light but good, but the second was terrible just pure rubbish, Franz Ferdinand second album ok I guess

There are so many people in the U.S. that havn't discovered her yet That it kind of feels that way. I gotta say, everyone that i've turned on to her have had a case of love at first sight. People have thanked me. It makes me feel good because when they find her their lives become a little bit richer. I want her to do well, she has so much to offer the world.

i think it's hard for her pre-iPod fans to see her go into the mainstream world of commercial success. we all just want to keep our small indie artists in our back pocket so that they aren't corrupted by the rest of the world.

but honestly, thank goodness she is exposing the masses to something with a little substance and beauty!

I agree with mrawesome. Especially that some of the pop culture fans think she has "weird" music. But infact she is unique and has a different sound. Also i do not think she is as dumb as Britney, or other people so fall into the pop culture trap. She is witty, smart, funny, and a genious.
