  • Everyone on the internet think they started off as experts, but we've all been here. It's fun to look back and say, "that should have been much easier than what it was."

  • @ondfritz2 yeah, it should have been way easier, and it has been, the last 20 times I've gone to this spot... Thanks for pointing that out lol

  • just go around it retard

  • im going to tell you what they alwayz tell me. your going to end up fuhking up your shit"

  • @cubanito010 Haha I've been told that once or twice...

  • Friggin retards just hit the damn gas and you woundnt have to fucking worry about flipping!

  • @damage252 you know, there's this thing called _learning_ which everybody does. Seeing as the video is more than 4 years old, I've figured that out by now. But thanks anyway.

  • I was gonna say throw your rear sway-bar in a dumpster, and then I saw your pop-up!!

  • wish the dude spotting him was in my back pocket everytime i needed a spotter...he's def the smartest out of the bunch

  • wow check out the tread on those tires

  • lmao yeah just straighten out the wheel and it'll fix that rear being like 3 feet up in the air. haha. and yeah, those sway bars were probably bending on ur second time in front you could see it bouncing. 33mm sway bars are the way to be if you need'm lol

  • @300atsheridan The sway bars weren't bending, they were doing their job, but at the same time they were limiting my articulation. After this trip i removed the rear and got quick disconnects for the front to allow for more axle droop. This was also my first time out after lifting it, so I was still getting used to it.

  • @tizzdizz yeah but you get used to it fast, it's not that difficult honestly, especially when there's less mud and more gravel, but rocks can still be challenging.

  • I have been in that situation plenty of times, he could have went down the first time. one thing you got to be careful about is reversing up a hill when you only have three wheels touching the ground and your front ones turned in a position that can potentially roll your jeep!! good job though, thats real froading right thir !!!! !!!! [:/

  • wow lmfao.hey if i ever run into u guys and we go 4 wheeling just remind me to bring my mother in law .

  • @inkedforlife221 haha. It's been a while since that trip, and I've done a lot more challenging stuff.

  • @tizzdizz wasnt talking about the challenging part, thought she could help hold the jeep down lol

  • Really nice. How big of a lift, and what size tires?

  • @Jeep4x4rambo Thanks, it's just a 2" budget boost with 31" Dick Cepek Mud Countries and trimmed fenders. I sold it back in January though.

  • @tizzdizz Sweet, the one i'll be getting has the 2" lift, i've just got to find myself some of those tires ahah

  • wheres the articulation!!

  • WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

    WHO'S READY FOR ROUND 2?

  • wow

  • Back it up lol. Not a very good idea many times.

  • @tizzdizz Ive seen your jeep on JeepForum, looks pretty good now. Im Stout95YJ

  • it looks to me like a stock height jeep with tires but if you say you lifted it than ok but i think your full of shit myself.

  • @bmwmegtr yeah ok buddy. Thanks for setting me straight.

  • @bmwmegtr its def lifted.. u cant get that much flex on a stock jeep jackass

  • @bmwmegtr it is lifted its only like 2.5 maybe 3 inch lift though

  • @saintrico Yeah disconnecting sway bars will help a lot. If your tires can "feel the bottom" better, then you wont be hanging tire as much.

  • i dont see any fun in this.. but its ok .. thou.. some people like.. it is preety insane.. lol

  • @vizard00001 Yeah it's not what I normally do. I don't know why this particular video is so popular, I feel like my other ones are more interesting lol.

  • @vizard00001 the individual things you do might not seem that much fun, but put it all into one trip and its a lot of fun. :D

  • @TheSkiddey true true

  • i love how your jeep looks man. what kinda lift do you have on it i want to lift mine 2 inches.

  • @FIDXJ4WD Thanks dude. It's just a Rubicon Express 2" with spacers in front and a full length Add-A-Leaf in the rear. It came with shocks, but they're crap, so I've replaced them. There are lots of good kits out there, but make sure you get one with an extended rear brake line and you'll want new shocks too. Avoid blocks.

  • what tires do you have on this? look nice

  • @hahatrainwr3ck Thanks. In this video they were 31x10.5 Retreaded Mud Tires with Michelin casings. Real good for the money ($320 shipped to my door). Now I run Dick Cepek Mud Countries. They perform a lot better.

  • @tizzdizz damn 320 is cheap, where you order these from?

  • @hahatrainwr3ck look up treadwright. The company changed their name and they've gotten pretty good reviews.

  • @tizzdizz MUD COUNTRYS ARE THE BEST TIRES I HAVE EVER OWNED .....

I also just got a 95 xj will have some vids soon :)

  • I love hollister, I miss that place. Nice jeep, I always liked the newer model xj

  • lol

  • Wow!

  • dude its not stock if you have a lift kit!!!!!!

  • @XxClemsonTigersXx true, not sure why I had stock in the desc. changed it.

  • Im pretty sure my moms mazda tribute would do better than that haha

  • @lukesimianer maybe, I wasn't trying to do well. I was trying to get used to how the lift felt. My more recent videos are more interesting. I can't figure out why this one has all the hits, it's just a quick hill descent.

  • @tizzdizz haha sorry to come off as a shit talker. I was just saying from the cam angle it looked perrrrrty damn awkward but also my tribute is pretty buff when it comes to mudding, for a suv atleast

  • well it made for a grate vid!! but when in doubt throttle out

  • my friend did the same thing in his slightly lifted 4 runner, he turned driver and then he rolled it and the roof collapsed in from that big rock that is on the right side of the jeep at he end

  • rubi tires ftw

  • You woulda been fine had you turned driver once the rear tire was in the air

  • @SkooledMedic probably true in hindsight, but I wasn't used to the lift yet so I was being careful

  • meh. should've kept going forward

  • retard

  • get rid of your rear sway bar if you haven't already, it will let the axle droop better

  • I did a while ago. Thanks for the tip though! The video responses show more current stuff.

  • it took you that long to do that?

  • Yeah, I had just lifted it and wasn't used to the balance/center of gravity so I was being cautious.

  • gotta love the unibody!!!!

  • hotsauce

  • Those are Hi-tec Retread OTR Muds. Company is now called treadwright, and they were 31x10.5. They were pretty darn good, and way cheap at $320 shipped.

  • 320 bucks for how many tires man, a full set? and nice jeep btw lol

  • Yeah man full set shipped. They used to be $70 a tire plus shipping. Not sure what they have now. Thanks man.

  • ditch the sway bars and give it another shot...

  • I did a long time ago. This is an OLD video.

  • one s you have it why not test it . nice , i did same thing too.

  • what year is this jeep, anyone know?

  • The jeep is a 99 cherokee sport.

  • You were good the whole way, you could have tipped it more. Moab, Utah taught me that ;)

  • this happened to me once...i didnt have any one to spot me though so i almost flipped it i was scared shitless

  • wow ditch your sway bars

  • wow I did a year and a half ago

  • he can't tires will rub the fairing

  • @stoutamach been done for a while, this video was 2 years ago, right after I lifted it.

  • @stoutamach I already did. This video is old.

  • @stoutamach I did a long time ago. Old video. Different jeep now.

  • what all is done to this jeep?

  • sounds pretty much stock, obviously tires...

  • Back when this was taken it had a 2" lift, 31" tires, removed fender flares, and that's about it.

  • @tizzdizz i know this comment is from a year ago, but did u get much rubbing with the 2" lift and 31's? cause thats bout all i could afford for rt now

  • Respond to this video... PS i really like ur old Jeep, even though its nearly stock lol

  • wut lockers are u running

  • thats not that bad......you are more likely to roll it by jerking on the brakes like that

  • Old video from when I first got the jeep. Thanks though.

  • Got articulation?

  • Now I do

  • haha at nice and easy.....GUN IT!!!

  • you all do realize this guy is more likely to roll it by hitting the breaks like that while going down and jerking it in reverse and shit right?...he is a lot more likely to roll it jerking on it like that then just puting it in 4 lo and riding down in 1st gear...nice and smooth

  • I think that's pretty obvious. It was only my second time out with the jeep, so I was still getting used to things.

  • That took some serious balls... Nearly flipped my tacoma tryin something similiar...

  • awesome vid

  • thanks

  • NIce, looks like fun!

  • it sure was

  • nice job tearing up your shit still making payments?

  • Thanks, nope everything is paid for. The thing just keeps going, I haven't broken anything on it yet. (I'm on borrowed time)

  • needs............flex. Hows ur rig now??

  • Check out the first video response. It's pretty good for a stock suspension. Quick Disconnects up front and deleted sway bar out back.

  • Someone needs to ditch their sway bars...

  • someone did a long time ago, old video

  • wow

  • hey just wondering what kinda tires you got man?

  • nice tires

  • Oh god I miss hollister hills. I got my first motorcycle there, my first fall there, my first jump there, but then my parents got divorced and I moved. =(

  • this is the best comment ever.

  • How so?

  • just the way you put it..

  • LOL :]

  • @eyeAMtwinkEE Aw dude, that sucks!!! I'm sorry.

  • I have seen this older video before but finally have some experience with getting a wheel way up in the air. It's funny how it feels far more scary than it looks.

  • take the sway bar off!!! get that axle moving!!!

  • Already did that. This is an old video.

  • why would he want to get a diesel? the 4L 6 cyl is one of the best engines ever made

  • Great motors. Had 289,000 on last cherokee and 185,000 on my new one and drive daily, offroad every weekend, and race once a month.

  • hey'

what size tires and what kind do you have in the video... and do you have any lift?

  • get a diesel

  • Çok acemice...

  • Looks tight man. I want to get a Jeep just for this

  • danm that thing needs lift lol it cant flex

  • Check out the video response (the longer one). It has decent flex now. This was over a year ago.

  • o ok

  • creeeeeeeeeeek....... squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek......creeeeeeeeeeeeeek lol poor old thing

  • come on guys, give him a break. i was a hell of a lot worse on my second time wheeling in my grand cherokee than he is there. he was doing just fine, he was just getting used to the articulation of the jeep.

kudos on the jeep man, post us some more videos!

  • Thanks man. I did post a couple newer ones, and the video response above. My articulation and driving is a lot different now than it was in 2007.

  • hey what kind of tires is on your jeep send me a message and let me know thanks

  • what a shitty driver.....keep bouncing on your suspension with your wheels turned into the roll jackass.

  • first time out with this lift, second time out with this jeep. gimme a break man.

  • coño ijaen cuando veaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa a tu clio apestoso le espicho los cauhos,lo rayo y lo golpe, por perra..

  • The camera never does the terrain justice, if he hung a tire out to dry, then it must've been steeper than what we may infer, I bet your pucker factor went up a notch or two, right tizzdizz?

  • Pucker factor, lol. Does that mean what I think it means?

  • It probably does...its a saying for really scary situations... that your butt puckers up, so you can kiss it goodbye.

  • Front sway bar discos and rear sway bar removal will REALLY improve the flex. It made a HUGE difference on my XJ

  • Thanks man. Yeah I have since removed my rear sway bar, and I bought the parts to make front discos, but I haven't gotten to it yet.

  • Thanks?

  • Um that was a small hill..I think a golf cart could have made that look easier.

  • I've taken my golf cart around my folks' ranch before, and it gets stuck pretty quick. Anyway, it was my first time out after the lift, and it felt a lot more tippy than I was used to, so I was playing it safe. I've since gotten braver and opened it up more.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah

  • Comment removed

  • 31s only rub at full lock, with a 2" lift, fender flares removed, and proper bumpstopping.

  • damn hangin a tire!

  • what happened? what took so long? that was only a curb. steer dwnhl.

my friend w/street wheels and a 2 inch poly isolator and shackle lift with sway connected too woulda been a half mile down the rd already.

i woulda been about a mile already.

just go down it moderate low speed w/o all the braking and butt clinching. apply brakes in more sensitive areas to ensure slow speeds for long steep descents or near cliffs.

loosen up a little because overcautious moves can cause fear resulting bad moves.

  • Yeah, this was the first time out after I lifted it, so I wasn't quite used to the added height. Similar lift to your friends, only I did add-a-leafs. Thanks for the comment.

  • Remove your rear swaybar and use disconnects on the front. None of your tires would leave the ground.

  • yeah, rear swaybar is history now, haven't gotten around to getting discos yet.

  • Put up a vid of that dood!

  • nice jeep!

    cool!!!

  • Thanks, it's a 2" Rubicon Express, with a full length add-a-leaf and coil spacers.

  • is hollister a place that only 4x4s should go ? or would a 4x2 do ok?

  • My friend goes with me all the time and he has 4x2 Tacoma prerunner so you'll be fine...however, never wheel alone...dumbest thing you can do

  • Alright cool. Thanks alot for the help.

  • I'm glad people listen... No problem. I'm going to try that same hill in my truck and I'll try to show you guys what I mean.

  • Just to let you know.... Never use your brakes down hill like that. You can very easily roll. I just ride down in 4 low and leave it in 1st gear. You are already going down hill. Nothing is going to make you roll if you just ride it down. When people get scared, they panic and hit the brakes. Then that makes your truck bounce and roll on it's side. Just try it on a small hill first then see what I mean. Just some advice.

  • That's probably good advice. Thanks dude.

  • Let me know next time you guys go out there. I'll take you guys on some trails. Go to my myspace page and check the pictures out. I'll need to add you as a friend to get into it.

  • great driver that i can admit i am going to bye the same jeep 98 model my first american car\4x4 is there any trouble with those models?+ heard they were hard to kill but still a honest answer would be great

  • It's great. The only problem I had was that I killed the alternator, but that's because I got it just a little wet. Not the Jeep's fault. Get it, and don't look back!

  • Where is hollister at? I heard it's in southern cali and that's where I live, but I've yet to find out where exactly it's at

  • Hollister is near Gilroy. South of San Jose and north of Montery. Do a map quest. The town is called Hollister. The park is located there. Hollister Hills SVRA. There are dirt bike trail and 4x4 trails. Two different parks.

  • hey do you have a locker in the rear??

  • nope, stock drive train. Locker would be nice to have some day.

  • Was the sway bar off in the rear?

  • No, not back then. It is now though. I'll have to try it again and see if it's any less tippy.

  • Do you have swaybar discos on your XJ?

  • No, not yet. It's on the list of stuff that I need to install but haven't gotten around to yet. Thanks for reminding me, actually...

  • That was sick. That over at the quary?

  • Yea, that's my favorite spot. I love obstacles. Still getting used to the lift and higher center of gravity though.
