Actually the HSCA determined that at least one shot came from the Dal-Tex building. Seeing smoke from anywhere in 1963 was usual, about 43% of the people smoked. Just because no one was looking at the roof of the Dal Tex doesn't mean no one was there. The shooters weren't hanging over the edge. I sincerely doubt anyone would have looked up there. Everyone was looking at the president. Given the echo's one could have heard shots from many places.
The reason a 3rd shooter location wasn't used is because the idea was to make it look like any and all shots were from the 6th floor of the SBDB. The shooters were place so each shot would be at the same angle as if it had come from the 6th floor. Notice you never see anything about the horizontal angle of any shot, only the vertical angle. You can't use triangulation to find the shooter without both the vertical angle and the horizontal angle.
Try not to think about triangulated fire as always having shooters in 3 different locations. In this case you have shooters in two locations and the 3rd is the victiim. it is still triangulate fire. The reason a 3rd shooter location wasn't used is because the idea was to make it look like any and all shots were from the 6th floor of the SBDB. Thanks for the reply. I was looking at evidence from two sources- one from a reconstruction that concluded that there was at least a good firing position from there and the other is an ex CIA pilot who maintains that he flew one of the teams in and was there that day.
You're right in that it would be a flat shot but not completely as it was almost from as high as the overpass.
It would also complete the triangulation of fire since the knoll is on the wrong side for that.
Good job. However I wrote to you before re the other purported position from the front, namely the embankment on the right near the bridge. There is credence to this being a likely spot.
@justinjoyit13 Sorry about the lack of responce. I do not find any wound evidence, other physical evidence, or sound evidence to support a frontal shot. Some belive that this was a bullet that entered the front of the throat, but did not come out. I can't find it credible that some one would try to assassinate someone with a bullet like a 22 short. Just about anything larger would pass through the soft tissues of the neck and exit. Sorry, but I can't agree on this one.
@justinjoyit13 Also, a shot from there would be a very flat shot. A miss would have most likely hit someone in the crowd watching the Presdent go by, very possibly a child. They were out to kill JFK and Gov. Connally and no one else. That is why there were assassins on the north side and the south side of the Dal-Tex, as the limo progressed down the street, the angle changed. Instead of hitting JFK and Gov C, if they stayed in 1 spot they would have hit JFK and Mrs Gov C.
You got your facts WRONG! There was no fatal bullet !JFK was alive at parkland hospital, sitting up and telling wonderful speeches on how he was going to exterminate the human race.
this is a TERRIBLE faulty and lame analysis! come on Kens167! You can do better than this nonsense.
