I met "experts" who think "Corporation" means Big Company. They don't even know that a Corporation is a LEGAL ENTITY. It's a business relationship defined IN CORP LAW, by guess what? BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. A business can exist without the State (a Govt), because anyone can start one. Corporations can not exist w/o the State. Courts s_t_r_e_t_c _h_e_d legal logic to say Corporations = Artificial Persons created by Man/by Lawyers are entitled to Equal Rights of Persons (created by God) .

This is the funniest load of crap ever. We ripped it apart in my Political Science class. First off the 14th has nothing to do with this subject. Second, you never quote Zinn if you want credability, he is a flaming Communist. Also if you think the media is behind Bush, or ever has been, youhave had your head in a hole. Global Corporations exist, but could not continue as they do without massive State Subsidy, plus Market Intervention, such as transportation and communications. Global Corporations are massive FREELOADERS on backs of people who actually work and create and develop.

Corporatism is so Statist, I call it Corporate Communism, but in the USSR the heads of industry were Party Bureaucrats. In US, CEOs run Politics.

I agree somewhat with teton99. Corporations can be useful -- if they are kept in check! Corporations are alot like governments: they should not have more power than they need to function. But getting rid of capitalism is not the answer.

Corporations aren't the problem. Capitalism is the problem. Someone has to have and someone has to have-not. As long as we the people keep ensisting that we have to have capitalism, we the people whom run the corporations and the governments, then our general apathy, greed, and self centeredness can't help but to come thru in all that we run and operate.
