One of the greats singing one of the greatest worship songs. i sing this song from the depths of my soul and it brings tears to my eyes everytime we sing it in our church. "a thousand times i've failed still your mercy remains". A testament to GOD's neverending unconditional love for us.

Doesn't ever matter who sings it (though I probably like the Hillsong version the best), it makes my body chill. Complete passion, purity, you name it... the songs got it. One of those songs that bring you to your knees infront of your Creator. Truly awesome,

I love the hillsong performance. The singers seem to be at rest in the Lord and not trying so hard. Chris seems to be a humble servant, but the background singers sounded off and seemed to be shouting out of tune. This certainly doesn't lead into the presence of the Lord. But distracts...

i don't think Chris Tomlin was worn out, i think he was being safe with the song - you have to admit, it's a song of honest prayer to God and then return with just full out worship and adoration for God, it's going to forever be a classic because it comes from both angles of singing to God. :) the worship pastors at my church are wonderful with the song, but i've never heard it sung better than joel or marty. very anointed worship leaders.

honestly, i think hillsong is getting way too complicated in their musicality. there's so many things that add to their worship, but there are a lot of elements to their style that can distract from the sole purpose of worship. i think tomlins 5 piece band is a lot more powerful than hillsongs 30-something team.

AMEN! We have been to and been part of worship teams with different types of worship. The simplest and the most humble form of worship and worship teams is where we felt the presence of the Lord the most. It isn't how professional the team is, it is about the leader's heart and touching the heart of God. Worship isn't about US, it's about HIM.

Ah yes, but remember... it is all about glorifying God. Everyone does it differently. We shouldn't be judging "passion" for God based on they way someone chooses to sing a song. God can be glorified by those with absolutely no talent at all. Make a joyful noise!
