Have you tried recording your samples without setting your tempo? I think it could be much faster. Just start to record a little bit earlier, finish a little bit later, then use mark button, and finally use start/end points to set the perfect loop.
I always do like that, never complaining :)

yeah i could have just recorded into Acid too. much faster...
i know how the nob start points end points work, i just wanted both samples to be the exact length for when i recorded them into acid i could just mark the start and end exact...then when i "mash it up" it will be right on point.
