Over 2 years now, and I'm glad to see he's still remembered. Vince was a good son to me, a good big brother to his brothers and sisters, and a great friend to everybody else who knew him. None of us will ever forget him!
@UKISOCIETY Hey, that's not cool. I'm a guitarist and I was absolutely touched by this when it was first uploaded. I still listen to it and play along with my uke occasionally. I personally never got to know Vincent which is unfortunate but we would've been the same age today. It's hard knowing someone so young could just pass away like that :(
Coming up on Thanksgiving, I had to watch again and backread the comments. I am still very thankful that you guys decided to do this, and that the haters and (almost all) critics chose to steer clear of this thread. It's really nice to know that I can hit this page whenever I feel a little down, and be greeted by such a warm feeling. I'm sure that we (Vince's family) all will watch this again Thursday, and we will all will include our friends at UU in our Thanksgiving prayers. Thanks
First of all, thank you. Vince was my cousin, and its a great and emotional experience every time I watch this video.
I think it would be great to get this song on itunes and have the money go to MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association). I've contacted an independent Aggregator, as well as MDA, and am trying to make it happen. I'd like to get the permission/blessing of all those involved with this. Please email me with any questions; Evanszw@gmail.com
I didn't kno Captain Google, or Vince, from what I'm reading, but this is pretty gorgeous and your love is obvious. You make me feel a little bit better about being in this crazy world of ours :) Much love to you all!
No one truely dies who is remembered with fondness. Death is a terrible loss but it is far worse never to have good friends. Looks like Vincent made the best of the time he had.
Wow this video just made me cry! I didn't know this person but it looks like he touched quite a few people. This song was my cousins favorite song. We lost her unexpectedly in a car accident just this year. May they both rest in peace.
It's been over a year since our Vince left us and I am happy to see this tribute still posted. It reminds me of all the people that loved him. Thank you all at the Ukulele Underground for giving something so special for a wonderful kid. His memory lives on through the love of his family and friends.
@toots20623 We have made a compilation album in his honor. Go to Amazon and search for Ukulele Underground United. All proceeds benefit the Duchenne Foundation.
@toots20623 - Time goes by, but we don't forget Vince.
Those of us lucky enough to contribute a small part to the video were just a few of the people who were glad to have known him, however slightly. Many more have paid their tributes in the comments here and on the Ukulele Underground forums.
As his official "sous chef", I have missed the sense of fun and adventure (and occassional bossiness) that Capt Google brought to our time in the kitchen together. He always serenaded us after the meal, and it was a special time for all of us. Thank you so much for honoring him in this fashion - it has meant a lot to the family to be able to view this. Thanks for everything.
Just over a year since he's gone, and the video is still beautiful! I can now make it up to the part where Buddhu says "Bye, Vince" before I cry. Thank you all so much!
This song is awesome. However, when it has a sentiment attached to it then it really brings home feelings - we've all lost someone, I don't even know this guy but hope he rests in peace and that you carry on in his memory.
This video is beautiful, and I want to thank everyone who contributed. Vince was my cousin, and he is sorely missed in my family. Every time we get together, it feels like something is missing. I watch this video fairly often, because it keeps his memory alive. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him. Thank you all so much.
Hey, you might know me as TicToc on the forums, and I really wish I was here a year ago so that I could participate in this. Vincent, I know that I didn't know you, but from what I've gathered, you were an amazing person, and I hope that you may rest easy knowing that you were loved by your friends on Ukuelele Underground.

just stopping by for a listen; its been almost a year and im still amazed that a community can be loving and caring enough to pull through hard times to honor a great friend with an absolutely beautiful tribute. i miss you vincent; wish i got to know you better, but i am glad that we met.
Wow. This was brilliant. What a lovely tribute to a man that obviously had a lot of nice friends. He lived a lot in his short time. May he rest in peace.
I don't know who "Captain Google" was, however this tribute is great. Technically, I'm so impressed. The way you have different artists performing, and although the quality of the artists change (which works well), the ukulele doesn't really change at all. Congratulations mate, a marvellous effort!!
I just found out about Captain Google. I hadn't talked to him in a while. He was a great guy. I find this so tragic. He was always there to have some fun.
I'm not a ukelele player, nor am I affiliated with the Ukelele Underground in any way, but I still found this touching to the point of tearing up a little...
Best wishes to Vincent's family, and everyone who knew him <3

This has to be the most heart felt video on youtube, it gave me chills. All that had part in this video are truley amazeing people. These are the first steps to a better world, without poeple like this, we are doomed. Thank you all for this video! And im sorry for your friend, may he "rip"!
absolutely beautiful video, im sure he would have appreciated it, its good to see that the uke community came together to pay homage to a fallen comrad. RIP Captain Google.
19 is far too young to die, it makes me soo sad to think about how unfair life can be and how easy it is to forget that and be ungrateful, and it makes me even sadder to know how, despite the fact that this one boys death is so tragic in itself, it pales in comparison to all of the rest of the unjustified suffering that is going on in the world.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Don't think I will be able to complain to DeG again about "the lost Uke weekend" or "another Uke video" after watching this. What a wonderful and caring group of people! He can UKE with you anytime!
Absolutely amazing. Im very sorry for your loss. In my opinion, if there is one way to remember someone and honor their passing, this would be it.

Made me cry.
19 is far too young to die, it makes me soo sad to think about how unfair life can be and how easy it is to forget that and be ungrateful, and it makes me even sadder to know how, despite the fact that this one boys death is so tragic in itself, it pales in comparison to all of the rest of the unjustified suffering that is going on in the world.

wow.
I never got to meet him, or even speak to him, but his influence is clearly present within our community. This song is a wonderful tribute.
R.I.P. Captain Google.
God Bless

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Don't think I will be able to complain to DeG again about "the lost Uke weekend" or "another Uke video" after watching this. What a wonderful and caring group of people! He can UKE with you anytime!
My heart goes out to CG's family.........
