Charles Koch is one of the good guys, Big Green fraudsters are conning billions, for energy solutions that are less efficient and more expensive, from taxpayers who need that money to pay bills. Green boondoggles are not just dumb, they are morally wrong.
I'm on the side of Charles Koch here. What he was doing was trying to maintain freedom of choice for the residents of California to have their energy needs met by dirty oil, or by clean energy.
Rather than being forced into that decision by government law.
If you are saying that your job opportunities are being thretened by this then it is because clean energy is not competitive with dirty oil. So you have to wait until improvements in technology make it competitive. It's simple capitalism.
I respect your support of choice, but there are environmental problems with "green" energy as well... I hope the free market is given an opportunity to choose clean nuclear energy in the future. Nuclear technology has come a long way since the Fukashima reactors were built in the 60s, 70s, and saying no to nuclear energy is a big mistake for those who care about affordable energy and the environment.
Lantho650... Nice post. Glad to see there is no vitriolic rhetoric that could be considered insightful ala Gabby Giffords.
How many jobs have been lost in CA because of their strict regulations? It is not surprising that green jobs may be growing so fast. An ordinary citizen can't even open a lemonade stand without an environmental study.
Hey you're freakin awesome!! The Koch's don't care about anything but money their greed knows no bounds that's why they didn't respond. They hide behind fake libertarian values and surface corporate veneer but I'm sure underneath this lies a festering rotting cannibalistic impulse. I'm a native southern Californian and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your courage in challenging these vampires. America needs more people like you.
If you want to debate Charles Koch but haven't read his book, The Science of Success, you have not prepared adequately. Mr. Koch is a walking encyclopedia on just about any subject, especially energy. As an employer of 50,000 US voters, many in CA, he knows more about creating jobs in CA than any college student. You have much to gain by issuing the challenge, but he has nothing to gain by accepting it. Koch's guiding principles and how he arrived at them, are detailed in The Science of Success.
Way to go, Joel! We're pulling for you all the way. It takes a bit of courage to confront security guards like that. I've been there. Not fun. But you did a great job. Kept your cool. Got a commitment. What happens next?
Capitalism isn't flawed. People like the Kochs are flawed. Please raise their taxes.

Being one of the worlds most wealthiest people, he is most likely quite smart and would blow you out of the water in a debate.
