Can I get 7 without using idioms?? My IELTS teacher said that my speaking was quite natural, but I must use more complex words. But when I speak, I always forget it's a test, so I just use the words normally, not many complex sentences and academic words. Is it still ok to get 7??
In my humble opinion, the most important factor is communication. Complex words are fine if the context demands them, but you have to tailor your speech to the situation. If you sound relaxed and natural, you stand a much better chance than if you try to remember some dubious "guidance" with hard-and-fast rules. The Speaking test is the same for both Academic and General Training, after all!
thank youuu
