the main problem with this gate is repairing or replacing it afterward is not going to be cost-effective. the impact causes the gate to buckle, will it still open and close? It'll be a security nightmare to install such a contraption, esp because its so heavy you'll need an electric gate opener to open and close the damn thing. Just a little premonition here. but you better make them Taller. What I would do is send in the first truck as a ramp, then the vehichle behind runs right over the first wrecked truck and is home free.

He meant like some sort of built ramp on to the first truck for the second one to go use it therefore bypassing the gate. Need to think out of box a bit for a back up? maybe 2nd gate would be suggested but taking it by the expense of the first the 2nd might be dismissed >.>

i agree with you sleepyjond but he does have a point,because wut if the first truck didnt hit the gate just stop in front of it,then you might have a chance but still the truck that jumps afterwards most likely will not withstand the landing so youd have to use dirt bikes or atvs or some shit

Abe, I had the pleasure of seeing all the slo-mo films of the crash. That truck was loaded to 15,000# and it was totaled. A 16 foot gate test is in the planning.
Vanown, the gate was able to be opened after the crash..
