I would hope that Tim Burton respects the original Dark Shadows with its emphasis on relationships rather than gore.

@eyeLuvTheOutsiders Pimping it out in Burton Style is what has me a little more than worried about this movie. Burton has a way of making his movies a little cartoonish and silly. I for one am hoping that this production won't be in the realm of "BEETLE JUICE" or "Alice in Wonderland". If so that would offend many longtime fans of DS and the original cast members.

@ira1ish Yes! Let's hope that Tim Burton shows some respect to original Dark Shadows story. I always liked the tragic story of Barnabas Collins and the Collins family. Dan Curtis created a classic story for the ages. A very good gothic story one of mystery,loyalty,betrayal, deception, undying love and Horror...
