@PonchetJunior Sungha started to play the guitar at the beginning of the year 2006. So, about five years. It's amazing that he became a professional guitarist so soon. Thus, it's natural that they call him a prodigy.

@MODECTUBE um... sry to dissappoint u, at 2006 he started playing as a semi pro or sth. i saw videos of him playing guitar at about 3/4 years. I think he was playing Dust in the Wind or something. And I know it was him cuz it sure was coreean and I saw the little blue toy-like guitar hanging on his wall countless. So he was playing very well since he was a toddler or tiny little kid:) and im proud he's my age:))

@medarkwolf1996 he said in an interview that he started playing at Jan 2006. he improved so fast that in a few months, he uploaded his first video to youtube playing "splash". He looked like 5 or 6 when he was actually 10. so some may think that he plays since 5-6 years old.

Im serious, how could he have been ten and looking younger than in other videos taken when he was ... ten? This really starts to sound ankward...

@medarkwolf1996 please paste (Kotaro Oshio) Departure - Sungha Jung (2nd time) and search youtube. he was sitting on a floor and playing an actual guitar when he was ten. i don't think the video when he was with the ukulele looks much younger than this one. I believe 2006.09.17 means that date when the video was taken.

@MODECTUBE is learning japanese difficult? i heard there are numbers of ways to write something in japanese( called kanji something...). cuz nowadays, i just started to like watching japanese dramas and the language sounds interesting and cute, though :))

@TamaraKhan In addition to kanji, we use hiragana and katakana which are phonetic alphabets so to speak. Specially, katakana are used to spell out foreign words in Japanese. Furthermore, we sometimes use romaji which is phonetic transcription of Japanese in the Latin alphabet. We Japanese have to learn at least about two thousand kanjis as well as hiragana, katakana and romaji for everyday use.
