  • driving one of these cars is my whole life's dream

  • @baddoer dream until u die

  • It would show if the driver is changing something on the wing for example.

And this is maybe the reason why they are not putting it on Tv or on Race Weekends. Especially with KERS and DRS now.

  • @ChillerSession - They can't change the wing from the cockpit anymore. Only slight front wing adjustments can be made by the pit crew when the driver makes a pit stop. So it wouldn't show anything that the other teams could learn from. Anyway the other teams learn a lot from team radio which is on tv anyway so your point is invalid.

  • Wow! Helmet Camera jeździ też F1?!

  • @kkxx1000 Żenada, każdy widział ten obrazek na mistrzach z Helmetem Camerą więc lepiej daj sobie spokój z tymi sucharami !

  • They won't show such shots on TV because we can't see any ads from this point of view :/ Sad but true

  • Great stuff, shame the BBC never shows this kinda thing....

  • Helmet cams - the best!

  • nice this is very good video, they need to show this on TV is very real!!!

  • good circuit monza get some good speed pity the vid wasnt a bit longer

  • No music allowed in such videos, GODDAMNIT!

  • Comment removed

  • This the game !

  • I have F1 2010 and never run the cockpit view, just the slightly higher "behind and above the helmet view".

  • Weeeeee! I'm driving 250mph and can't see shiiiiiiiit!!!!!

  • it's look hard to drive on youtube but the real things is that the sit are higher and it more easy to drive then what i see here because i been in Renault F1 Day and i been driving the F1 Renault R29 and the view was easy this camera that was set in his helmet was on the right side but not the center so :O

  • @MIKRO2323 -- you're right , the camera isn't on the exact driver viewpoint, but pretty close ... here is another example: /watch?v=k6hGGlmie6U

  • @MIKRO2323 actually this is pretty much the view they see (except its slightly to the side)

usually when they have these days when they have normal peope driving they make you sit a bit higher than usual because then you can see better and they don't need to worry about perfect aerodynamics or the danger of rolling the car

  • does anybody know the name of the background song?

  • WHOA. I thought I could be a F1 driver, but boy was i wrong. That speed is just too much

  • its amazing how they can drive this car at over 300kph with lightning reflexes and pinpoint accuracy with 4 G's of force with a view of the track that poor!

  • gay fuckign music fucked up this vid

  • Imagine this view at Montreal 2007...

  • This should be the on board camera... ever!!!

  • helmet cam for the win

  • Thanks for cutting out any of the remaining engine noise and replacing it by the boring music!

  • I didn't realize there was so little movements. I guess the steering has to be really really precise.

  • WE NEED THOSE CAMERAS FOR RACE COVERAGE!!!

  • this is game

  • @Peonattack No it isn't. Coulthard had a 'chin cam' in Brazil in his last season but didn't see much footage from it because he crashed on the first corner lol

  • the only reason we cant see this on live TV is becouse then we cant see the ADs on the cars... Its all about money...

  • @SaradominStrikes yeah really

  • @SaradominStrikes they could do it on the steering wheel

  • @SaradominStrikes actually there are no electronic aids at all now.

  • amazing views... Kubica is one of the best!!

does anything knows the name of the song between seconds 10-34??

    thanks!!

  • This is monza?

  • @Kuba10031995 Yes, is Monza.

  • Motors TV? Which country?

  • Sounds Australian.

  • I thought it was from... France?

    I have no idea...

My grandpa has that channel, but I don't know the language..

  • France

  • cool ...actual view from driver eyes...never seen this before..tx

  • what is this song..?

  • random music drop? :P

  • i love helmet cam, why dont they use it during gp? for the ones asking, the track is obviously Monza

  • if they use these helmet cams you cant see any ads... the probably why..those rich bastards...

  • Yeah but you would be able to see the other cars in front with there adverts on the back wing or the signs all over the grand prix.

Bernie will just want to charge for it if there is enough interest but it would be great if all drivers would put the camera in the helmet as you will see the crashes and overtakes etc.

  • amazing footage!

  • He has gone to reanult next season. Soz bout spelling:P

  • why don't they show those pictures on TV??

  • @SizilianoMafiosi Im not sure... but there was helmet camera in Coulthard's helmet @ Brazil 2008.

  • @DaszekGT yes?

  • @SizilianoMafiosi yep, look for "coulthard helmet" on youtube

  • @SizilianoMafiosi because this isn't a picture.

  • @Alup62893 ah a film are ca. 25 pics per second so be quiet...

  • @SizilianoMafiosi I totally agree with you. View like that is much more exciting that the standard TV Camera (above drivers head).

  • @SizilianoMafiosi because drivers dont want cameras sat inside their helmets and to get a decent shot youd need a camera that would be big enough to disrupt the aerodynamic airflow across the time. which would slow cars down and noone really wants that

  • @allaboutconor And also having a camera in your helmet would weigh 5 times more when going round a 5G corner. Woud be alot tougher on the neck

  • Don't F1 teams like helmet cams?? The need this in F1 on race weekends.

  • @guarana80

Its because of the weight and the drag that the headcam would put on the car :P

  • @flicony how can it create drag if its inside his helmet

  • does somebody know the title of the music in this video?

  • I'd like to see the full length of this video.. ;)

  • Kubica is the best driver in F1...

I hope he will be a Ferrari driver in next season :PP

  • best driver in f1? .......... which season of f1 are you watching certainly not 2009, 8, 7 or 2006 hes good but not " the best im a hamilton fan but i think alonso is the best

  • lmao

  • Yes, Alonso is the best, then Kubica & Hamilton. But anyway in 2010 season Schumacher will be the best :)

  • kubica makes f1 look like an easy sport xD

  • omg...so fast!!

  • This is beautiful, I dream of feeling the sensations and F1 car creates.

  • this is one of the best! you either get the camera to hight or to low, or right height but either to far left or right. this is to right but i prefer that! excellent!

  • Idiot, he never said there would be a crash. read the title aswell as the description next time =.=

  • lol ok =)

  • Hm I think it isn't that hard to see 'cause first of all you know the track which means you know where you're going next. And here the Camera is not in the center so I guess with a middle view it is a little bit easier.

For my opinion in this video I can see enough, although it could be better of course. :D

Well the drivers can do it so it has to work somehow.

  • Well I've done go karting where you sit even lower and sight isn't a problem at all. Much easier to see than in this video.

  • Yes, but for karting you havent got a long nose to look down.

  • you guys have no idea what you're talking about with the vision thing. first off, in a go-kart you are open. in a car such as an f1 car, you have body all around you that is just below your eye level. in an actual car once strapped in you can't see the side walls of the tire, only the contact patch. as well, you can't see the ground infront of you for a good 10 meteres. as for moving your head, movement is limited by the hans device so that makes it even harder to move your head to look sideways

  • helmet camera on kubica crash? wow, extreme...

  • Not only is it so hard to see the corner, it's hard to see in those mirrors. Can anybody make anything out in them? You see F1 drivers defending a corner with inch precission, but they do it blindfolded

  • Really hard to see the apex....

Try to play rFactor with the helmet view cockpit...and lower the camera angle....really hard to see anything...even harder in Interlagos-Brazil...

  • i dont think its that hard .. i had the chance to drive an open wheel racecar (f2000)here in toronto canada and its not as hard as it seems on this video the only thing that u obviously cant c is the front wing .. u gotta have a "feel" where the front of the car is n thats it ""NOW THATS JUST ME ""

  • Really....f2000 cockpit is higher than an F1 car...of course you can't see the front wing and all that you can see is...open road...=P

I've watched richard hammond drove an F1 car and he said that it's really hard...but just to feel it and you'll know where the apex is....

    NOW THAT'S JUST ME...hahaah

  • mmhh well if u say so .. the only thing i can tell u is when i was in europe back in 2001i had the chance to jump into an f1 car ( a jaguar ) n ... i remember the height n everything was practically the same .. NOTE: i didnt get to drive it .. lol i wished but yeah .. it wasnt much of a difference

  • Wow...that's cool!!!!!

Didn't the regulation has been changed that the wall of the cockpit will be higher and the cockpit will be lowered....

Well if u get to drive the car...will be awesome!!! But nobody will have a chance...

But whatever it is...it's a single seater car...

  • Great view of the cockpit, but waht is the song?

    Thanks for post.

  • wow

  • master??? you mean camera on kubica's helmet right??

  • see how hard it is to spot an apex for the driver and then imagine whats its like going through eau rouge at spa or somthing =o

  • mate, how jealous you must beeee..!

How unfair life is when someone like you - the car/driving genius is forced to create vids for dummies instead racing in F1..

    Where is the justice ???

    Love,

Donald Duck (for you sir Donald)

  • wow, after seeing just this short video i immidiatly have so much more respect for these racers.. incredible!!!

  • Yeah, it so hard to really see the corner

  • @bdoops now imagine if he was racing in monaco.

  • they definitely need to use this camera angle in the races..imagine seeing the first corner from here

  • Exactly, that would be incredible! So excited for Melbourne!!!

  • That is incredible!! Can we get this view during practice and qualifying please!?!?!?

  • was that monza?

  • yep

  • yes

  • Correct!

  • The eyes of the driver is actually 5 cm higher. The camera in this clip is place a little bit lower than the pilot eyes. And he can see the apex a little bit better :)

  • only 37 seconds!??. why!? >:( .

  • Where are the sounds of the car??

  • It's Monza amazing

  • too short....

  • this gives me even MORE respect for them guys, it's amazing that they can controld them monsterus cars without barely being able to see the apex and corners for that matter

  • They are sitting real low in those.

  • cool

  • What amazes me is how they can follow the road being so low to the ground. I'm sure they get to study and practice (qualify and the what not) the track. But still...you can barely see what's ahead on the road, let alone who's around you!

  • The camera is on the chin of the driver.

  • Ah.

    Learn something new every day.

  • I think it's actually about level with his nostrils, at the bottom of the visor, which is only a little different to his eyesight. The same camera has been used in American open-wheel for years, and sometimes the drivers' noses would appear at the edge of the screen.

The speed of the car really is impressive from this angle!

  • Racing driver develop a technique called "Sighting". Drivers never look directly in front of them, they look about 100 yards down the road at their next reference point, they see plenty really.

  • Neat-O! F1 Racing rocks! can't wait for the next season!

  • If the camera was at his chin, you wouldn't be able to see, he's wearing a HELMET. Its true you really can't see a thing at all.

  • Taking another look at it, the camera appears to be strapped to the inside of the helmet on his right side. There's an early portion where you see the visor come down. Could it be that there's an installation on the inside? Or could he be wearing some "Contact" - esque camera headset?

  • It's on the inside of his helmet I believe, check out the ones they use to use for Champ car

    Damn good idea they started.

  • Fantastic, they should introduce this camera on every F1 driver from next season.

I will love to see it.

  • This and the helmet view from David Coulthard at Interlagos 2008 are good signs that we might see more in 2009!

  • I hope so, seeing the race from their perspective is really cool.

  • wasnt coulthard on the red bull team in '08 and he retired this year

  • Yup that's right.

In the Brazil GP, there was a short moment showing the view from DC's helmet.

  • ssame he crashed out on the first lap, first corner

  • It was a bit low though, if they had perched it a bit higher it might've been a bit better.

  • Why this movie is so short? ;(

  • Seems quite old, thats BMW old wheel, probably from 2006

  • That's the 2008 wheel.

  • kubica debuted in 2007 so cant have been before then.

  • nah, kubica debuted in hungary 2006. he replaced villeneuve mid-season
