Wow the Chinese were smart compared to us Americans. When they used soldiers in their nuclear, test they had them wear Gas Masks... We were like "It doesn't matter if you get a lethal dose of radiation because you would already been kill by flying debris. But as far as the test's concerned, you'll be okay." Then later 90% of the people who participated developed and died from cancer or leukemia.

actually vice versa - Mao wanted the bomb to start a war, Khrushchev would only give it for defense purposes, and relations cooled.

USA's economic relationship with China where China manufactures cheap garbage for the American consumer is only 40 years old or so. For centuries, Americans lived without China and made their own everyday items right here, in the USA.
Don't mention clothes, that' silly, we will always find industrial slaves to make our clothes for us, if not Chinese slaves then Philippine or Malaysian.
US government is borrowing MONEY from China. That's a real issue.

China has been careless in its nuclear testing UK,France and USA used careful process to avoid human damage, while mistakes were made they where no where near as bad as Chinas mistakes that remain uncorrected

Every Empire has its time. And ofcourse we had our fair share of defeats, but look at the numbers involved when us British got defeated. It was always because of us being vastly out numbered. Anyway it didnt stop us ruling most of the world with the greatest empire in history. In the 80s ofcourse we could no longer hold on to hong kong. But plenty of Hong Kong natives flocked to the UK after it was handed over to China. Thats why we have so many Hong Kong take aways and fish and chips lol.

During the Korean War, you guys possessed weapons the Chinese did not have.
Chinese troops during Korean War were only armed with WWI rifles and very little ammunition. You guys had jet bombers, tanks, artillery, etc.

After WW2, the British Empire was over. The Korean war was obviously forced upon us by our "special relationship" with America. Any decisions made in Korea will of been made for us by the USA. Im not an expert on Korea and dont know of this incident, but the Koreans/Chinese/Soviets did have migs, machine guns, artillery. Our enfield was WW1 era also. But you can say why didnt the US win in Vietnam, why not the Russians/US/Nato in Afghan etc. Technology and superior firepower only get you so far.

During Korea, our MIG-15s were limited to small defense, NOT airstrikes. You guys had armor, tanks, machine guns, airstrikes, electronics, and ships that we DID NOT have. We used strategy instead.
Speaking of the US forcing you guys, China is currently the world's 2nd most powerful country, and will replace the US as the future superpower.

But we were the greatest in my opinion based on the vast amounts of land and dominions we aquired. Far more than any other Empire achieved, Britain= 36.6 million km² Rome=5.7 million km² Qing Empire=12 million km². And just look at the size of Britain. For the English to defeat and ultimately unite the British isles was a triumph in itself. We also had to defeat other modern nations e.g. France, Spain in order to gain supremacy and survive. Then there are the many inventions that we created

Yes, I totally agree that Britain (along with Mongolia) had the largest expansion.
However, the largest doesn't necessarily mean the "greatest".
China had the largest economy and richest income per capita for 20 centuries straight.
China had BY FAR the world's most advanced technology from 200 BC until the 18th century.
China had the world's most advanced military for 1,900 years.
China explored the world before any other civilization
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Did China have much in the way of competition? This will probably sound ignorant, but what of Chinas influence was felt by the wider world?. Other than gunpowder and tea, what did the world gain from China?. The world didnt adopt Rhino horn medicine, junk boats or chop sticks. Yet the world has based its law, education, military, industry on that of the British. And ofcourse adopted our language. And thats just the tip of the ice berg.

Actually, the world doesn't all follow Western traditions. Only the West does. Western traditions were shaped by China.
Almost ALL of today's technolgoy is Chinese. China also formed almost all of today's ways of life (FOR EXAMPLE banking and financial trends and paper money).
China invented the fork (yes, it's true), and the West adopted it as their eating utensil, for example.
Even encyclopedias admit that China was responsible for shaping the Western economy, technology, and life

It is not chinese. The music was scored by composer William Stromberg and performed by the Moscow Symphony Orchestra. Stromberg sure added a chinese feel to the intro of the piece, though. This particular piece is named "China Gets The Bomb" and is available on the official soundtrack by Stromberg.

There is a better version of this elsewhere on yutube. Very good film, but the china bit is very harrowing. The shear numbers of those chinks all galloping on horse back scares me abit. How much practical usage that would have Im not sure but scarey nonetheless. Also what is scary is the reality that one day this will happen. I dont see humans lasting much longer. What we need is a "star wars" program like reagan said. Bullshit back then but it could be reality one day soon.
