  • @ervans

Man, I love trains. I even like riding in them =)

  • that is a long one

  • @MrWillbarrel thats what she said

  • Did you know that in Ohio, if you have a train blocking the crossing for more than 5 minutes while not moving at all, you can call the cops on them?

  • @theweirdrobot ya it's the same in a lot of places, i know transport Canada has that rule for the entire country, i wouldn't doubt if the U.S. was the same

  • I like trains

  • Did they really need to have 5 engines to pull that?

  • 85 HOBOS DID NOT LIKE THIS VIDEO

  • P&W is I believe a relative to the SLR in Maine.

  • well there goes the forest, geesh

  • Hi Evans, a very good video, can you tell me where in the video is made

  • im making a dvd for my twin cousins that are obsessed with trains

  • I think it´s a good Video, I like to see real working Trains moving "parts of America". It´s just honest work...which a lot of People have seemed to have forgotten about!

  • My dad worked at C&O, now Seaboard Coastlines, for 30 years. When I was five I even had a birthday party on the train! I also love the Chessie cat logo for C&O. Wow this is a _great_ channel. ;-)

  • That is a rush hour train. The train that comes along when you are late for work or an appointment

  • @tjw1963 Yes that has happened to me. I've had to wait 15 minutes for a freight train to go by a few times

  • Left railway, needs repair.

  • @dimiterdobrev yes it does

  • @dimiterdobrev I think the box cars need repaired to cause they are all dunted and smashed lol

  • Speaking of rail track conditions - The train seems to be wobbling around quite a bit. This route must be a very slow one with this kind of old and curvy rails.

  • track needs work if its going to be running trains like that

  • All freight trains should be banned.

  • what a lashup! (combination of locos). I hope the P&W ponies up for painting their equipment; this will help with morale of employees, shippers & the public.... Think how much $ the BNSF has spent on painting equip from the 6 (+?) companies that contributed to their current inventory.... Why do you think they did that? Do the locos Run Better? NO!

  • @amarkanders777 That would be nice

  • Slowest train ever

  • I must know now how long you were standing there filming it? Have you got any more? we dont move much freight by rail here in the Uk ......

  • @missdizzydolly About 7 minutes. You can go to my channel and I have three playlist on freight trains

  • Is there any channel here where I could watch full documentaries about the history of the railroad? I've been searching but I can't find complete documentaries... please if anyone knows give me the link on my channel, I live in Argentina and buying documentaries via online it's extremely expensive for me... thanks to any kind person who can help me... ;)

  • wow that was long

  • my little brother like trains and loves this video!

  • @iloveyou123091 Thanks

  • i think you should wake away from croosing than film

  • great horn

  • Wow...great video! The HD is fantastic. My 3 year old loves Thomas the Train and loves watching trains. He said this one was carrying "Jobi wood"...a reference to the Misty Island Rescue movie : )

  • Amazing how labor intensive for each mile of track and especially considering the mountains, rivers and swamps they encountered. True American spirit. How long would it take for this one to stop?? Looked like only 20-30 mph...

    Great video!

  • My 2 and a bit year old son who has trouble saying "choo choo train", saying instead what sounds like "Guggenheim", loves the vid and going to the footbridge near our home to watch trains everyday

  • MY 9000000000 OLD GRANDPA LOVED THIS

  • this is the slowest moving train ,the beginning of the train looks like it is falling apart, the railroad company should revamp this particular train model it is too old, for real dh

  • Bing bing bing bing bing bing bing ... if u live next someday u also go bing bing bing bing bing bing.

Some of waggons look really bad. Here in Germany they would scrap them I think.

  • My two year old nephew is annoyingly obssesed with trains!! Thank you for uploading them!!

  • @themillfloss I'm glad he likes them

  • @themillfloss I know what you mean. My 2 year old son likes trains so much that I spent over $1,000 on HO scale trains and I'm not even close to being done yet. When it's time to get him up in the morning I come on here and look up Union Pacific's DD40. The sound of the horn makes him go crazy.

  • @themillfloss same haha

  • Comment removed

  • @themillfloss Something about 2 year olds and trains. My 2 year son loves this video. I appreciate the HD video/quality. Very nice video!

  • @themillfloss Hell yea can't get my 2yr old brother off of em'

  • My 2 1/2 year old nephew is obsessed with trains, he loves watching these. Thank you for making and uploading these. Makes my life easier when looking after him! lol

  • @iamjimmy86 Thanks, I always like hearing that

  • I'm currently modeling the Portland area and the grey ghoast number 1805,thanks for the awsome video!!

  • I would hate getting stuck there haha.

  • It's damn slow for 5 engines.

  • nice :)

    train train train,....

  • WTF. its just a train.

  • @badrnu It’s the rail line that runs alongside Hwy 30. They haul logs to the Wauna Mill, tanks cars, bulk hopper cars, some lumber, and when the ethanol plant is up they haul extra long trains of corn and ethanol tank. I’m talking about the same rail line where that log car hit that ethanol tankcar and started that big fire several weeks ago. My train experience is limited to yard work such as loading, coupling, inspecting, and hauling with a Tracmobile. BTW I did see a grey engine yesterday :)

  • I have seen a BNSF 4 engine freight before but never a 5 engine train!

  • Absolutely beautiful! Love it! Always fascinated by trains!

  • My 15 month nephew has a new fascination of trains thanks for videos!!

  • How many cars were there

  • @Traincal007 i tried counting it was hard haha

  • I live near a P&W line, and I see the orange engines all the time; they haul product out of where I work. I rarely see a yellow and blue engine, and I've never seen that grey one. With 5 engines on this train, that would be most of their fleet :)

  • Great!!!

  • I hope they replaced those trees!

  • My best friends daughters 2 year old ABSOLUTELY loved this!

  • was this a santa fe loco at one time

  • FIVE??????????? :O rofl looooooooool!!!

  • marvelous, very enjoyable. Thanks!

  • kiss my arse, train!

  • very good, nostalgic, 100% american.

  • Now I see why they needed 5 engines! That was a LOT of stuff even for a train! But imagine if you were in a hurry and you got stuck at this crossing while that train is coming! As neat as it is to look at it would be the last thing you would want to get stuck behind.

  • @mmmmmthai Only three of those engines were pulling. The other two were probably being brought to another yard.

  • poor forest

  • you might be the only person i can trust that has videos that aren't ridiculous or have scary pop ups, man there are alot of thing that can scare ya on youtube these days

  • That last one had a baseball card in the spokes. how funny.

  • If a single engine can pull all that tonnage and still burn approximately 1/2 gal. of diesel per mile, why do we still have 2K lb. cars that can only travel 21 mi. on one gal. of gasoline? If the same systems of power creation and transmission were being used in autos wouldn't it make sense that we could have vehicles that could travel 80, 90, 100 mi. on a single gal. of diesel? Engines are nothing more than rolling electric generators. Make a car that is 100% electric w/ a diesel generator.

  • love the santa fa

  • Brilliant.........Just Brilliant. The Freight Business Is Thriving In The States, Here In Ireland It's Dead In The Water.

  • i think i remember when i was a child that i was at a train track and just the eingine came with no cars back in oakland nj

  • It's funny to see the structural condition of railway lines in the country calling itself the biggest global power. In Germany, 15 years ago, many secondary railway lines in such bad condition (humpy rails) were closed for security reasons, even for trains with much lower axle load.

  • @ytg0gl3verbind5uck5 and did they rebuild those lines or leave them closed? It seems to me that a lot of railway lines are allowed to deteriorate by authorities so they can eventually be closed on the basis that it is too expensive to renew them. And the result is more road trucks/cars.

Closing down railways in this day and age is nothing to be proud of, even if it is for safety. A sad economic reality perhaps, but good thing? Generally no.

  • @mistersmith6000 You said: "It seems to me that a lot of railway lines are allowed to deteriorate by authorities so they can eventually be closed on the basis that it is too expensive to renew them." But I never said that I endorse such tactics, quite the opposite: I can only agree with your answer. I was only surprised that there are railways in such bad condition used by such heavy freight trains in a country claiming world's economical and technological leadership.

  • i swear, if i ever became wealthy and had a house with alot of land, i'd buy one of those huge GE CSX trains and set up tracks around my house and drive the train around the entire property.

  • It isn't that rare. I work for the Railroad and I see this almost every other day. Most of the time what is going on is: Two of those engines belong to that train and the others have just come from or are going to a repair location. For example: We send our engines north to our away station when they need repair or maintenance. After the shop is finished they will add them on the head of a train and send them back to our local yard. or send us extran engines if we need them in the yard

  • @ScottDaMoose I think what is meant by "rare" is that it's rare on that particular line.

  • THAT IS A HUGE TRAIN BUT IMAGINE having to wait for that train when u r in a rush to go somewear?????? OMG

  • why is this so popular? anyone?

  • @asdxxme it's a train thing. You get it or you don't.

  • @hotdog2020 ur fatass american. your country is all about "dont get it" dumbasses :D

  • @asdxxme Ask a stupid question you get a stupid answer. People love trains so what is there to get? Don't be so childish as to start the USA bashing or my country is better then yours grow up.

  • it must be a two year old thing. my son has gone mad for that train, maybe its because we don't get trains that big in the UK.

  • my son loves these train clips. Thank you for sharing

  • with older diesels it does take more engines to pull what 2 or 3 modern GE engines can pull

  • @IgaNinja91 Very true, this is a very heavy train.

  • @ervans loved it mate, Im a mechanic at the moment looking at moving into the railroad side of life for my career. It really is the future for transport and logistics in my mind. my great grand was a Steam loco operator/driver I think part of him must be living on in me because I seem to enjoy seeing these huge beasts roll on by.

  • @MAJazzy08 strange. i go 2 show my 2 year old son sum trains. 1st video that pops up. and what's the 1st comment??? My 2 year old loved this. Ahhh sweet irony
