i updated my cod4, i installed 1.6 patch and 1.7, ran the install shield and it updated my cod4. when i go on to look for servers, there is none? help :S

@SimpLyLuKeHD Does it say 1.7.568 in the bottom right of the main menu?  If not, you're not on the latest (1.7) patch.

When I download the 1.7 patch it just freezes half way through the install, help?

@oskarTVI Redownload the patch, reinstall the game and try again. Note that you only have to do 1.6 and 1.7 patches (1.6 includes all the preceeding patch content).

@RsBigTalker Try reinstalling punkbuster. Search for pbsvc.exe on Google (make sure the link is on evenbalance website), download and run it. Uninstall then reinstall punkbuster.

Just a note, you dont need 1.6 if you have the game of the year edition.

Surely what determines which is easier is the standard of yourself relative to your opponent, in which case you can't really say that one is 'easier' than another. If, however, you mean that console vs. PC, console would win, then that's clearly not the case. 'Better' is simply a matter of personal opinion.

Every time i want to join a server it says "ERROR server in version 1.6"... so what there's no server in 1.7??

@Stormxx77 Make sure it says 1.7.568 at bottom right when you have the main menu of MP up. Then just join servers through server browser, or IP addresses you may already have. All of the official CoDJumper servers on our site are 1.7.

If you Have a xfire account and bought the game from the xfire program you would be able to put movie configs on your Cod4 but you will know if you have the "ACTIVISION" folder in yur program files a wonderful place to download movie cfgs and that is cfgfactory type it on google and if you would like to colour your killfeed in game just watch this tutorial /watch?v=wpujF_VESKw

@mallonmufc suggestions erm lets see Dont by a alienware i have one and its brilliant but not worth the amount of money it was bought for erm you could look on gumtree safe site but have a look around the web first so you can get your ideas up and a config is the colours and the game settting you could change about like for instants if the colour of a scoreboard was black the config you make can change it to any colour and look up movie configs much better get xfire allows you to do more things

1.so i was little dum and i first downloaded cod4 from piratebay cause i wanted to know if i liked it (i know im a dumbshit) and i liked it so i bought the full game BUT after i tryed to uninstall it i couldnt but its like the full game but i didnt have the keycode so i used the 1with the real game and it worked couple months but then it srarted to bug pretty bad u ciuld see trought every buildings and charcters

@NRrandomstudios Multiple cod4 files? If you see a 'mods' folder, put the mod you've downloaded inside that. So the directory should be "Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\Mods\promodlive211\mod­.ff"
