I am a real estate agent my self and investor. That realtor is right on! It's a bad time to sell if you don't have equity but if you are a buyer, it's a great time to buy low and in a few years sell high. If you are in a position to purchase, now is the time to do it instead of buying higher when the market gets better. More millionaires are made in recession because they KNOW WHEN TO BUUYYY!!!

@PLG111 As someone who is in the market for a new house, I have noticed that Realtor's tend to stretch the truth. Last weekend I was looking at the house that was brand new and going fast per the listing agent when he finally admitted that it was a two year old "new house" that the builder wanted to dump. Said Realtor also wanted to represent me as well as the seller. I guess 6% is better then 3%.

Very creative. I am a realtor in Texas and we have the same problem. People are watching the national news instead of their local news. If the media would stop scaring everyone, realtors would not have to do stupid stunts.
