@blindassassin69 that is because that's the hole that the sound comes out of there may be a different hole to cover and if not u have a 4 hole ocarina.

hey i just got my ocarina (4 holes on top 1 on bottom)and it says to keep the thumb hole covered at all times (which is the back one...i think) but when i cover it it wont make a sound and i cant figure it out

@JackLennon13 Inca ocarinas are often 4 OR 6 hole(no 5 hole) pendant ocarinas. But they are often crafted by indigenous people that have no access to a professional tuner, apart from their experienced ear.

This means that some ocarinas might not sound as they are supposed to.

But inca ocarinas often look the coolest, and are the cheapest(ranging from $1USD to $8USD) so i would buy a few just for decoration, or casual playing.

If you are looking for TABS(sheetmusic) its the same as any ocarina
