very smooth!!! - and from one strat player to another, i know you can appreciate that! I don't have a vintage or a RI - but I play a 93 standard that after about 10 years of drying out - became the Fattest animal on the block - the neck pu is just nasty - no substitute for the tone! and to think when the strawberry finish started to spot and fish-eye I was pretty ticked,..about a year later though - WOW! YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT A STRAT!

btw ,i don't know why ,i put graph tech on my gibson LP and it realy sucks in tuning stability ,even i use sperzel locking tuner too :( ,but nice on stratocaster :)

@philotze Main tone is a 5150. on the clean channel, Then there is an xotic BB preamp pedal for gain. and a little bit of Line 6 delay and verb in the effects loop of the amp

I just can't get enough of that tone! Hands down one of the best tones I've heard. Towards the end even when it appears the tone has a lot of gain still there is a texture of clean-ness to it and Josh has that perfect feel for bringing out these tones through picking dynamics. Amazing! :)
