Im about to do this in a 2000 prelude, which is a 2 door 4 cyclinder, so i dont have a whole lot of room to work with, Ive alreadly decided to go with fosgate, cause no one here has it, they all run memphis, would you recommend the shallow mount subs? and how much of a sound diffrence is there in shallow mounts and regulars as far as sound?

So my personal opinion would be to run down to your local auto store an see if you can pick you up a door re-seal kit or w/e they are called... That or pick one up from amazon or ebay or some place like that , hope that info helped ya... :)

it means you must upgrade your 3 main electrical wires in your engine compartment to a bigger guage wire.

1. - battery to chassis.

2. + battery to + alternator

3. and engine ground to chassis.

i would recommend using 0 guage.

the damplifier he was using makes the car more sound proof and holds in the sound from the stereo while at the same time greatly reducing the rattling cause by the woofers.

that depends on the speaker's rms power rating (the amount of constant power your sub can take for extended times.. peak power is for competitions and such) so say you have 500 watt rms.. you can run it on about 600 or 700 and it would be lounder and still be safe to use for long times. but really its mainly the quailty of the speakers and amp you got.. the head unit dont have anything to do with your subs except to put the song through the amp lol.
