  • I'm a little clay man too, I have one of these and it's great!

  • hahaha! try not to use to much acid for your next video, but was pretty good.

  • i fucking love this song!!

  • @bmxking11406 Koyaanisqatsi, the movie is good too.

  • Unfortunately the Music choice takes away from the concept

of the video. Koyaanisqatsi in the Zuni/Hopi dialect means

" Life out of Balance " or "Life in Constant Chaos". The music might

sound cool but the message is lost if you really know what the

    singer is singing about.

  • how did i get here ?

  • This is a waste of Youtube space.

  • song is kinda moody for this, try Brown Boxes by the Spinto Band!

  • Cool concept, WTF is up with all the green politics you guys are just being used for a political agenda, also what's up with people who hate saving energy and money.

  • name of the song?

  • You would need insurance on your house and a gun to fend off people from busting in the house like a freakin' ninja.

  • Did I just see Gumby walk by? ;)

  • Nice place. And props for Philip Glass.

  • how much formldahyde are we talking here? thirsty "consumers" want to know

  • heck thats boring and badly done. stop motion usually means that there is a fluent movement and not crap

  • Never mind--it's mentioned in an earlier post. Thanks.

  • What's the name of the song. (I've been making a collection of chants, thus the interest.)

  • @Dresden0010 This is Koyaanisqatsi by Philip Glass

  • what a beautiful song,and good concepts

  • nice

  • music dousnt seem to fit lol

  • very cool consepts of multiple use of space. I doubt north american popular culture would adopt them, but in places where poeple still live a natural lifestyle these Ideas could be an easy and practical way of improving living conditions.

  • @Deralict55 I'm from the USA, 19 years old, And I would be highly content living in an eco-friendly home.

I'd rather have one of these than an extremely over sized mansion. Huge houses disgust me.

  • @oLookaChickenPromo same here however the problem with this design, particularily in areas of colder climate is lack of insulation and structural integrity to deal with winter storms, not to mention personal security. But people in rural areas of south America, Africa, the Australia could really benifit from these ideas. Places where people are living in small villages consisting of huts. It would be a way of improving there lifestyle without destroying their way of life.

  • @Deralict55 Completely agree with you on everything, especially security.

Sad when you can't even trust your neighbors half the time.

I live in North Dakota but sure as hell don't wanna deal with the winters anymore, lived in Texas near Mexico for a month and it was wonderful. I plan to move there when I am able.

Also if I'm ever able to, I'd like to buy up acres upon acres of farmland and turn it back into the wilderness it once was.

  • I love it. make me thing of a lush tropical garden, open air, the sound of water and a box to go rest at the end of the day

  • Ok, congrats for building something that is so flexible, but to be truthful, i cant see future people iving in those

  • i really like the sound/music to my ears-- please let me know what album? would appreciate if you can get back to me... thanks.

  • It's the theme from the film "Koyannisqatsi," music by Philip Glass

  • meh

a block of units can do more with less land

  • Cool video by the way.. really nice.

I actually live in something like that. 10' x 10' x 10' hut off the grid w/ solar panels and propane heat. It works, but I could use a little more space. -- my art desk doubles as my kitchen prep and eating space and I've got about 5' by 3' of foot room, but the advantages are that it's free, everything is in reach, and it heats up quickly.

  • KOYAANISQATSI. Thank you. I have been searching for that movie for 5 years.

What fortune that I bumped into your video.

(I saw that movie with some people 5 years ago and it made a big impact on me, but I couldn't remember the name of it.)

    :)

  • it would be either very easy to break in, or very hard to lock it up.. . or both..

  • I really like the way you worked with flexible materials here. Really cool concept. A lot are talking about weather issues. Really, it could be anchored. Much like tents at Everest. They stay down, why wouldn't this.. given the proper anchors. Also, consider magnetic closures for the fabric walls. Would it mess with electronics though? Because I can only imagine living in this WITH wi-fi. ;-)

Just amazing work. Wish we could see it in action, IRL.

  • Foundation isn't a problem here should you wish to realise this concept. Finding a wall surface that is flexible like this, insulates, is waterproof, seals at the sides and conquers condensation(and has the light transparency) seems impossible and without that the project would have to be drastically compromised. This would seem more like a conceptual car design or a fashion show's designs that are designed to draw ideas from rather than something that would actually be created and put to use.

  • philip glass's koyaanisqatsi is in You Tube Movies. How cool is that?

The less is more paradigm is really taking hold. Your Micro House is pretty awesome. I'm sure few tweaks are all it would take. Good prototype though!

  • .great concept...just dont place it in high wind areas, like tornados and the such, because it's occupants may be blown away along with it

  • In case you haven't noticed "normal" houses get blown away in those areas too so if I was going to lose a home I rather lose one of these. I really like the way it opens all up and you get to live in doors/out doors. Like living on a patio.

  • It could be done with the right materials. It doesn't seem like it would stand up to colder climates very well though.

  • cool. heres some convorsation someone would have.

boy:hey mom can i make a house out of paper and live in it?

mom:i dont think it will work, but go ahead.

    (2 weeks later)

    boy:see mom? paper house!

mom:you do realise we live in a mansion right?

    boy:this house is way cooler.

  • LMAO @ "convorsation"

  • The house you build is just so beutifull!! But PLEASE next time you make a stop motion, DONT SHAKE THE CAMERA! My eyes are bleedding :D

  • i guess as a concept its fine, but i cant really see how it would be funtional in the real world given all the various weather conditions there are.

  • The literal expression of 'live in a box.'

  • atterberrypm: Thank you for the name of the music: Philip Glass, "Koyaanisqatsi." Perhaps the video uploader will put it in the notes. I'm off to listen to more on Amazon. Wonderful!

    * * * * *

  • the music haunting and beautiful

  • Agreed, the music is wonderful. Never heard it before, what is the name? Wish the director would post it in the video notes. Love the little guy in the stop motion video and particularly love the idea of the mobile house. Wonderful video!

  • It is philip glass's koyaanisqatsi

  • I'm starting to see a trend with architects that I've run across... they all think they've got the next great thing, but the average person wouldn't be caught dead in their inventions. Ok, maybe dead would be acceptable.

  • Life would be boring if no one tried to do things differently. Neither would we advance very far. From countless attempts and ideas come some that are quite significant.

  • Wow.. this video is very particular, and artistic, can you tell me the name of the song? is beautyfull!

Bye and thanks to post it :)

  • cool. good job.

  • awesome 5/5

  • nice work.
