I'd have bought Cities Xl if it had had the online mode, even if looks a good game, the most innovative aspect was the online, which i was waiting for a long time, and then when i new they were closing it...
This looks awesome is there a world on offline mode to and also is it a very hard game to get used too. Great video made me wanna buy this game gonna get it
@xaha100 Honestly the only really good thing about online was the real time trading and inflation, the rest was neat but not a deal breaker (to me at least)
@xMaidenSlayerx It does not, the play model they had for online just did not work. However they did roll some of the good features from the online mode into 2011 which I will cover in the next vid which is in progress.

From my understanding the content is the same as far as releases and DLC. The planet offer allows you to get blue prints ( I believe that might be online only, not sure though) as well has real time trading system with thousands of players.
You also can build a ton of cities around the online world vs a few per area type like in offline. Casual players on a budget will probably stay offline and never miss a thing. Unless they make DLC offer only (doubtful)
All of these were recorded at full resolution in Fraps. Uncompressed video and audio, about 1gb a minute.
Then I took the video into Premiere and squeezed the 1680 x 1050 image into a 720p timeline. Thats why there are some bars on the left and right. But it keeps the resolution high.
Then I export it to mp4 with h.264 with a 4 or 5 bitrate. Keeps the quality decent without going too crazy on file size. I need to refine it a little for higher quality but thats basically all I do.
Firstly, Cities XL is the best game ever (as brianm01222 said), I'm not usually a fan of MMO's but when I get CXL, I am subscribing to Planet Offer as soon as I manage a decent city in Solo Mode. And finally, your the only person on the whole of Youtube who can make a good gameplay, keep up the great work!

Those 8 minutes went by fast. Couple questions though:
What are the main differences between this and Sim city?
Is online truly worth the money you're spending considering the online market?
