It's almost difficult to see Mary as anyone other than Heather in American Idiot, but she's got such an incredible voice and a wonderful sense of character that I almost like her better as Kate. A Beautiful performance of one of my favorite Avenue Q songs, done by an incredible actress. Excellent!

If you think about it, the puppetry for Avenue Q takes an EXCEPTIONAL amount of talent. With regular puppets, the puppeteer only has to worry about "acting" through the puppet. THESE guys have to to act (and sing) not merely through the puppets ... but as themselves as well! Talk about multi-tasking!

I was lucky enough to see this on BROADWAY! It even had like half of the original cast in it!! I was so excited.. Except .. I saw this with my mom. It was really awkward.. People "know" because when they first cast the original actors they are looking for exactly what the creator intended the voices to be like. They weed out hundreds of sound-alikes. After the actors' time is up, and they find new ones, and people are going to asume that the new actors should have the same sound and style as the originals.
