@Zantozzzz It stands for Engine 422 B meaing there is another Engine 422 at the same station. So pretty much the station this Engine is at has two Engines.
This video is a great representation for Fairfax Fire and Rescue, and especially the GSVFD! Thanks for what you do guys, you FF's here have saved family members of mine multiple times, and you just saved my neighbor's home last week. All Respect.
At 8:02 , green car: And that's why you don't ride that close behind an ambulance and why you also always check your mirrors before a lane change. It's amazing how people just can't figure out how to drive safely around incident scenes.
I hate it when you try to block a lane for FF's and people just drive around your car and get right back into that lane in front of you, like they're the only ones that matter. Sometimes they'll even stop and ask what's going on or for directions. Get OVER and STAY OUT OF THE WAY!
great driving to the scene.protecting your crew and the scene was outstanding !!!!!!!! i liked how the crew was instructed to exit the safe side of the engine.
@robotracking 75 feet is the most common length for semis here in usa, you can get longer and wider trailers but you have to get permits, file paperwork with the dot, lot of paperwork
Actually, the B DOES stand for reserve unit, not "volunteer staffed". You can have 2 engines running out of the same station both labeled E421. For example, One would be E421, the other would be E422B, the first engine is technically labeled as alpha but no one uses that since it is already assumed.

This is the Commonwealth of Virginia, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. Engine 22 (The 4 is the county's counsel of governments number, B marks the unit as a reserve)

Okay, first of all, it's not "counsel", its "council". Second of all, the B does not mark the unit as a reserve, but as a volunteer staffed engine.
