good job man, my only suggestion - change the audio. nothing to do with my taste in music, but almost every agency/production house will turn a reel off the minute they hear any sort of a modern sound or lyrics
@MajicPictures@MajicPictures Hey thanks man! Yeah, I got another comment about that a while ago and was thinking about doing it for my updated reel in a few months, before I leave for an LDS mission for 2 years...
@ishothat Thanks man! I'm going to a local university to get my GE's over with, and after that I'm thinking of going to Columbia College Chicago to get a bachelors in film
AWESOME showreel! One thing I learned though from mine being critiqued is that the music should not have lyrics (as it distracts the viewer), as people who watch it have all different tastes. So I would say go with the music you used from appx: 1:45 and on throughout the entire video. LOVE how the reel tells a story, that is what the execs told me, that a reel should tell a story of your directing. I hope this advice helps!
@ScarsonFilms Hey thanks for the comment! I couldn't decide which song to use so I just ended up condensing all 3 into 1 seamless piece (well I tried anyways lol) But ya, I definitely like how the end product turned out and appreciate all the support that you and other viewers have given :D
@AblueTee The fog is a pre-keyed element from Video Copilot's Action Essentials 2 product. If you haven't heard of Andrew Kramer yet, I HIGHLY recommend you visit their site: Videocopilot . net
@MrBJStudios Ya I've been in filming classes (highschool not college) for about 4 years now, but they were a bit of a disappointment to be honest. I was never really recognized, cuz I wasn't one of the teacher suckups...
I don't wanna sound like a loser haha, but I've spent countless hours, hundreds (possibly even past 1000) of just research, research, research on how to get better in filming since school didn't do it for me.
But nothing will ever amount to actual practice, so keep filming! ;)
i thought it was the skater -_-

Good one :) you're good at making shots (as in setting them up and working within them)
Best of luck at college :) I assume you're doing film?
